…[name]Caroline[/name] and [name]Henrietta[/name]. Or [name]Mercy[/name] and [name]Franklin[/name]. See, they’re all in one family, and their names have been bugging me for a while. [name]Mercy[/name] and [name]Franklin[/name] sound American colonial, while [name]Caroline[/name] and [name]Henrietta[/name] sound more British colonial. [name]Caroline[/name] is sickly, something I never attributed to that name, and [name]Henrietta[/name] is peppy, something I never attributed to that name either. [name]Mercy[/name] and [name]Franklin[/name] are great personality wise, but they seem to stick out. I’ve already gotten a ways with this story, and I don’t know if changing the name would screw me up. So…stuck in a pickle. Help?
Background: This is a working class family in an east American quarry in 1878.
Family as I have it:
Father: Wincor Macston (wanted a variation of [name]Cormac[/name], might change back to [name]Cormac[/name]?)
Mother: [name]Juliet[/name] Macston (this one I like)
Kids:
[name]Jonathon[/name] - would be 16. Died when he was 14 in a mining accident. This was two years ago. (this one I also like)
[name]Caroline[/name] - 8. Very quiet and sickly. Likes sewing.
[name]Henrietta[/name] - 8, twin of the above. Very energetic and exuberant. Like little kids.
[name]Mercy[/name] - 4. [name]Just[/name] your average four year old minor character. Loves her family and playing.
[name]Franklin[/name] - 2. Again, just your average two year old minor character. Fun-loving toddler.
Thanks in advance!
