So we just found out we are expecting! We try to always use family names and are naturally brainstorming options… [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] is a family name used many times on my grandmothers side I would love to use it to honor my grandmothers brother and dad who were both [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] but were wondering if you we could use [name_m]Tobias[/name_m] instead of [name_m]Thomas[/name_m]… Is that too much of a stretch? I just feel like we have so many second and third cousins named [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] and tommy but I know it would mean a lot to my grandmother if we could honor them some how… Middle name would start with an E to honor another family tradition so possibly [name_m]Tobias[/name_m] [name_m]Edward[/name_m] or [name_m]Tobias[/name_m] [name_m]Ezra[/name_m] big sis is [name_f]Lola[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] and big bro is [name_u]Wade[/name_u] [name_u]Everett[/name_u]
Thanks
They don’t connect for me. I’d suggest using [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] as a middle
[name_m]Tobias[/name_m] [name_m]Edward[/name_m] is gorgeous (and [name_m]Tobias[/name_m] [name_m]Ezra[/name_m] is lovely too), but I agree that I’m just not getting the connection to [name_m]Thomas[/name_m]. They do start and end with the same letter, but that’s about it. However, your grandmother may still appreciate the gesture. [name_m]Tobias[/name_m] is a wonderful name!
Another name I love is [name_m]Thom[/name_m] (prn. just like [name_m]Tom[/name_m]). It’s a Hebrew name meaning “twin”, which might be a bit odd since he isn’t one, but I still think it’s lovely if meaning isn’t too important to you, and it is much closer to [name_m]Thomas[/name_m]. [name_m]Thom[/name_m] [name_m]Ezra[/name_m] would be a very handsome name!
