Met a baby boy named [name]Jones[/name] today…
I immediately thought [name]Bridget[/name] [name]Jones[/name] and just a little odd BUT Is this the next [name]Joe[/name], [name]Jonah[/name] or [name]Jonas[/name]???
WDYT???

I like it! Interestingly enough, I woman today told me she’d name her daughter [name]Jones[/name].
I actually think this is a rather dapper way to get to [name]Joe[/name], though I do think of ‘jonesing’ and [name]Amy[/name] Winehouse’s ‘Mr [name]Jones[/name]’…in conjunction, not the best association.
I’d assume it was a family name. I had a (female) classmate whose middle name was [name]Williams[/name] b/c it was her mom’s maiden name. I’ve certainly considered my last name and my mom’s maiden name on my list, although both of mine have been used for a long time as first names.
It’s a great Welsh name that sounds great as a last name even though it’s common. I have never heard it as a first name, but I really like it. It’s a lot of consonant sounds in one syllable though.
I would assume [name]Jones[/name] was a maiden name, or perhaps a tribute to [name]Indiana[/name].
