Too close for sisters or am I overthinking it?

[name]Tabitha[/name] and [name]Matilda[/name]? They’ve been in my top 5 girls names for a long time, and I only just noticed that they have very similar structures (they share all of the same vowels, amount of letters, etc). Am I the only one who would notice this? If it is noticeable, is that good or bad in your opinion?

I don’t think they are very similar at all.

[name]Tabitha[/name] and [name]Matilda[/name] would be excellent for sisters.

I don’t think they would be too close for sisters. I actually think they would go well together!

They’re both three syllables, have a second letter “a”, end in “a”, and have an “i” in the second syllable, but despite those similarities, I think they’re different and not overly matchy. They’re distinct from each other, for sure. Cute sibset!

You are definitely overthinking it!

They look very similar [name]IMO[/name]. What about the spelling [name]Mathilde[/name].

I’ve always thought [name]Matilda[/name] & [name]Tabitha[/name] would make excellent names for twins because of all the reasons you’ve listed (plus they both have a sort of have a ‘witchy’ image for me, due to the show [name]Matilda[/name] & little [name]Tabitha[/name] on bewitched…;)), I think they would make great names for sisters

I think [name]Tabitha[/name] and [name]Matilda[/name] would make a beautiful sibset! You’re over thinking it

In their proper forms, not too close. But you should also consider [name]Tabby[/name] & [name]Tilly[/name] since there’s the alliteration of the (likeliest) nicknames. I happen to think both proper and nicknames are cute together.

Exactly the same for me

Definitely not too close! Very cute together.

Their nicknames may be rather close if you choose the nn.s [name]Tabby[/name] & [name]Tilly[/name].

They both have: 7 letters, an A in the 2nd & 7th place, I in the 4th place.

I don’t think they’re too close at all and they make a great pair of sisters.

The only [name]Tabitha[/name] I know goes by [name]Tibby[/name] (she’s a baby) and the two Matildas I know go by [name]Mattie[/name] and [name]Tilda[/name], so there’s other nickname options than [name]Tabby[/name] and [name]Tilly[/name] if you find them too matchy.

Not too close at all, they have quite different sounds. I think they’d make lovely sisters.

I would be so happy to meet sisters [name]Matilda[/name] and [name]Tabitha[/name]!

[name]Love[/name] it!
You are totally overthinking it. The two names are great ang fit so well together.

I noticed that too and I think their similarities would actually make a great sibset or twin names.

I agree with gigigibbons about the nn’s for sure, but I actually think that’s cute. The full names are absolutely fine as sister, though :). Wonderful choices!

Cute! I think you’re overthinking it.

I’ve always thought that [name]Matilda[/name] and [name]Tabitha[/name] would be wonderful sibling names. [name]Add[/name] [name]Jemima[/name] to the mix and I would jump for joy!
