Although [name]Delilah[/name] and [name]Cordelia[/name] are very different names, do you think they are too close to be siblings because of the ‘[name]Delia[/name]’ bit in [name]Cordelia[/name]? Also what middle names would you pick for [name]Cordelia[/name]?
I don’t think they are too close because the “deli” parts aren’t pronounced the same way.
[name]Cordelia[/name] is a longer, flows, romantic name… So I’d go with something simple for the middle. Like:
[name]Cordelia[/name] [name]Blair[/name]
[name]Cordelia[/name] [name]Hope[/name]
[name]Cordelia[/name] [name]Louise[/name]
[name]Cordelia[/name] [name]Ruth[/name]
No, not too close! They look similar but are pronounced differently
I don’t think they’re too close at all.
[name]Cordelia[/name] [name]Olive[/name]
[name]Cordelia[/name] [name]Fawn[/name]
[name]Cordelia[/name] [name]Grace[/name]
I can see tripping over the two names if I had to shout them quickly. And one would probably never use both names in a first/middle pairing, which is one way of quickly determining whether or not two names are too close. With distinctive nicknames, ([name]Lilah[/name], [name]Delia[/name]) you could probably name sisters these two names, but you might come to regret it in later years.
Nah, they’re fine. They’ve got emphasis on different parts of the name as well.
I think they’re great together, but a bit close if you plan to nickname [name]Cordelia[/name] “[name]Delia[/name].” If you use [name]Deedee[/name] and [name]Cora[/name], [name]Lila[/name] and [name]Cora[/name], [name]Delilah[/name] and [name]Cordelia[/name], or even [name]Lila[/name] and [name]Delia[/name], it’s fine.
