Is [name_f]Delphine[/name_f] [name_u]Prairie[/name_u] or
Delphine something [name_u]Prairie[/name_u] too much?
I love both names (I would have a 3 name combo).
Thank you💓

Not at all. [name_f]Delphine[/name_f] is starting to gain popularity elsewhere too, and I first think of [name_u]Prairie[/name_u] as an [name_f]English[/name_f] word not [name_u]French[/name_u].
Not at all! [name_u]Prairie[/name_u] makes me think more of [name_u]America[/name_u] than [name_f]France[/name_f], and [name_f]Delphine[/name_f] is no longer popular in [name_f]France[/name_f] but is gaining attention elsewhere. I think it’s a lovely name
I don’t think it’s too [name_u]French[/name_u]! It’s a beautiful name
I think it helps that [name_f]Delphine[/name_f] has pretty unambiguous pronunciation. I expect most people wouldn’t ask; for those that do, would you feel uncomfortable explaining that it’s [name_u]French[/name_u]? I don’t personally think it’s a problem. And I agree with others that [name_u]Prairie[/name_u] doesn’t make me think of [name_u]French[/name_u] at all, as it’s a common [name_f]English[/name_f] word.*
*Though if I am thinking in terms of [name_u]French[/name_u], the combo of dolphin and meadow is a little peculiar and I might be inclined to put another name in between them.
Love it, not too [name_u]French[/name_u]… especially the [name_f]Delphine[/name_f] … [name_u]Prairie[/name_u] combo
I agree with this! I think of [name_m]Little[/name_m] House on the [name_u]Prairie[/name_u]
Delphine is a french twist on a greek name. So, just feels Euro [name_f]Antiquity[/name_f]-Revival … [name_u]Or[/name_u] I guess you could say Euro [name_u]Neo[/name_u]-[name_f]Antiquity[/name_f].
Prairie for a MN feels a bit overwrought, IMO.
Delphine [name_f]Paige[/name_f]
[name_f]Delphine[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f]
[name_f]Delphine[/name_f] [name_u]Peyton[/name_u]
Etc
Not to me
I don’t think it sounds too [name_u]French[/name_u] at all! [name_f]Delphine[/name_f] is actually a top name on my list for a future daughter (first or middle name), and neither my husband nor I are [name_u]French[/name_u] at all. [name_f]Delphine[/name_f] [name_u]Prairie[/name_u] is really lovely.
This.
I think [name_f]Delphine[/name_f] [name_u]Prairie[/name_u] is a lovely choice.
My personal rules are that any name without an accent and not sounding very different in french is not too french for non-french to use.
I like it.
