Too many C's?

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] ladies, I need your expertise and opinions! I have recently fallen in love with the name [name_m]Cormac[/name_m] and would love to use it to help honor my grandfather who passed away last month. However, on my husband’s side of the family there are several C names. DH is one of four boys and 2 of the 4 have C names, [name_u]Casey[/name_u] and [name_u]Cody[/name_u]. The exact same brothers have sons whose names start with C - [name_u]Carter[/name_u], [name_m]Colt[/name_m], and [name_m]Cooper[/name_m]. This wasn’t all entirely intentional as we didn’t know for certain that [name_u]Carter[/name_u] was our nephew until last year (he’s four). My [name_m]BIL[/name_m] had no part in naming him. But [name_m]Colt[/name_m] and [name_m]Cooper[/name_m] are brothers so they stuck with the C theme. As an added bonus, my [name_m]BIL[/name_m] [name_u]Cody[/name_u]'s fiancé’s name is [name_f]Coral[/name_f] but luckily she mostly goes by [name_u]Raven[/name_u]. I’m sorry if that’s hard to follow and a lot to take in, but given this confusing mess of family names, would you use another C name? I probably sound insane for even asking, but I was incredibly close to my grandfather and his name was [name_m]Clifton[/name_m] [name_m]Charles[/name_m] (2 more C’s lol) and he would always take my brother and I to [name_m]Cormac[/name_m]'s creek when we were kids. It holds so much meaning to me, but DH is sick of C names (not that I blame him).

I don’t think it’s too much. If you both love the name, go for it! If not, don’t… but not because of the C factor.

Thank you for your input! It helps me hearing someone else’s perspective =)

I don’t think it’s too much and possibly no one will really notice it’s “yet another C”. I have a couple of nephews who are stepbrothers with extremely similar names, both beginning with the letters Co and the caw sound like in cop and it’s never an issue. I don’t know if anyone’s even noticed but little ole namenerd me!

[name_m]Don[/name_m]'t really think it’s an issue, honestly.
