[name_u]Baby[/name_u] girl is due in 4 weeks, and I thought we had the name mostly settled, but then we nixed the middle name and the floodgates opened up. I have a handful of first names I like, and a larger set of middles, but there are too many iterations to pick one!
First Names:
[name_f]Isla[/name_f]
[name_f]Emma[/name_f]
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f]
[name_f]Daphne[/name_f]
I like [name_f]Isla[/name_f] best from your first name list. Actually, I like [name_f]Audrey[/name_f], [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] & [name_f]Isla[/name_f] about equally. [name_f]Emma[/name_f] is nice too though. I’m guessing that popularity doesn’t bother you if you have [name_f]Emma[/name_f] on your list. [name_f]Emma[/name_f] is very popular, & [name_f]Isla[/name_f] kind of is too. [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] & [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] not as much, but I don’t think that those sound as good w/an ‘ee’ ending last name. Probably not the end of the world. [name_m]Just[/name_m] a way of narrowing down the list. [name_f]Isla[/name_f] [name_f]Kristy[/name_f] sounds sort of majestic & springlike. And it sounds like this should be a [name_f]Spring[/name_f] baby! As for the mn options, [name_f]Isla[/name_f] [name_f]Marielle[/name_f] is just stunning. Definitely my favorite. To pair the others w/middles, I like…
Audrey is my favorite of your first name options! I love [name_f]Lillian[/name_f], [name_f]Josephine[/name_f], [name_f]Faye[/name_f], [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f], [name_f]Delphine[/name_f], and [name_f]Marielle[/name_f] from your middle names. I’d probably pick [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Faye[/name_f], [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f], or [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Marielle[/name_f]! Other combos I really like: [name_f]Emma[/name_f] [name_f]Lillian[/name_f], [name_f]Emma[/name_f] [name_f]Faye[/name_f], [name_f]Emma[/name_f] [name_f]Delphine[/name_f], [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f], [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] [name_f]Marielle[/name_f]. But actually, my very favorite combo for you would combine two first name options: [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Emma[/name_f]!
You’ve picked up most of my dilemma: popularity vs first and last name ending with “ee”. I’ve read a bunch of threads on popular names and have mostly convinced myself that popular names today are not “[name_f]Mary[/name_f]” or even “[name_f]Jennifer[/name_f]”, and there won’t be a class full of kids with her name.
Undecided how much I care about the “ee” thing (which is way more obvious without the middle name there of course). But several people in ours extended family have names or nicknames that follow that “ee” pattern, and their names sound fine… it just seems to flow a little better with some other first name ending.
Isla [name_f]Faye[/name_f], [name_f]Isla[/name_f] [name_f]Delphine[/name_f], [name_f]Emma[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f], [name_f]Emma[/name_f] [name_f]Delphine[/name_f] and [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] are all beautiful.
I would focus on only the first name then when it is settled choose a middle. On a day-to-day basis, her middle name won’t be used. [name_f]Isla[/name_f] [name_f]Kristy[/name_f] flows beautifully. I also like [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] [name_f]Kristy[/name_f] and [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Kristy[/name_f] but the flow of [name_f]Isla[/name_f] with [name_f]Kristy[/name_f] is perfect.
