Me and my husband were both loving [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]… Until we found out that its the girls name from 50 Shades of [name_u]Grey[/name_u], which tossed that out the window. We’ve compromised and decided on [name_f]Anna[/name_f]-[name_f]Rose[/name_f] as a first name.
Since we suck at agreeing on names, we’ve decided that for the middle name, we’ll use her birthstone. We’re both gemstone fans, so it suits us. There are a few gemstone names that just wouldnt work for us however, so we’re trying to decide on a “backup” (we’re not pregnant yet, so birth month is not known yet.) The only backup names we can agree on are: [name_f]Tatiana[/name_f] and [name_f]Tiana[/name_f], but they both end with ana. Is that too redundant, do you think? They obviously wouldnt be pronounced the same as [name_f]Anna[/name_f], but still.
If anyone has any other name suggestions, I’m open to hearing them. DH is the more picky of us, and he likes unique and foreign sounding names. No S names though, as our last name starts with an S and I dont want her initials to be ASS.
It sounds like [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is a keeper but if not, I suggest [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] [Birthstone] as it is a beautiful name. I also noticed [name_f]Annika[/name_f] in your signature, is [name_f]Annika[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] an option? Or [name_f]Roseanna[/name_f] [Birthstone]? [name_f]Anya[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]?
As for [name_f]Anna[/name_f]-[name_f]Rose[/name_f] ___, I think [name_f]Tiana[/name_f] and [name_f]Tatiana[/name_f] are too much “anna”. [name_m]How[/name_m] about:
[name_f]Anna[/name_f]-[name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Talia[/name_f]
[name_f]Anna[/name_f]-[name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Sonja[/name_f]
[name_f]Anna[/name_f]-[name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Victoria[/name_f]
[name_f]Anna[/name_f]-[name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Kiara[/name_f]
[name_f]Anna[/name_f]-[name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Alina[/name_f]
[name_f]Anna[/name_f]-[name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Catrina[/name_f]
[name_f]Anna[/name_f]-[name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Bianca[/name_f]
We’ve thought about using [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] without [name_f]Rose[/name_f], but I’m just really attached to that name. We also want to keep with A names (both our names start with A, and his siblings names start with A.) He hates [name_f]Annika[/name_f] for some reason. Shot it down the moment I mentioned it to him. I’m a big fan of [name_f]Anya[/name_f]. I’ve just always thought it sounded weird. I do like [name_f]Talia[/name_f] though. I’ll mention that to him and see what he thinks.
Here’s a few for something like similar and extended of [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]:
[name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] [name_f]Roseanne[/name_f]
[name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] [name_f]Rosanna[/name_f]
[name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] [name_f]Rosetta[/name_f]
[name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] [name_f]Rosette[/name_f]
[name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f]
[name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalyn[/name_f]
[name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]
Why not just [name_f]Anna[/name_f], with [name_f]Rose[/name_f] as a middle name?
But, just in case…
[name_f]Anna[/name_f]-[name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f]
[name_f]Anna[/name_f]-[name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Jade[/name_f]
[name_f]Anna[/name_f]-[name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f]
[name_f]Anna[/name_f]-[name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Natalie[/name_f]
[name_f]Anna[/name_f]-[name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Victoria[/name_f]
[name_f]Anna[/name_f]-[name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Lola[/name_f]
[name_f]Anna[/name_f]-[name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Adele[/name_f]
[name_f]Anna[/name_f]-[name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_u]Stacy[/name_u] (since you wanted [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] I feel this would be a nice one)
I think [name_f]Tatiana[/name_f] and [name_f]Tiana[/name_f] are too much -ana with fn being [name_f]Anna[/name_f], definitely redundant and I think you could find something just as nice that works better!
You shouldn’t have to compromise with a name you love. I say either use [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] or find something completely new.
I see a similar thing like this happen when parents fall in love with a megapopular baby name like [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] or [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] or something: they’ll feel the need to resort to a slight variation or unique spelling (Sofee, Izzabella) to try to dodge the name’s popularity, even though they don’t like the creative name as much as they do the original. Never settle for anything less than what you love, babe.
Anyway, I think Anna-Rose Tatiana works better than Anna-Rose Tiana because the extra syllable in Tatiana puts more space between the "anna"s.
