Hello! We already have a daughter named [name_f]Anna[/name_f] (rhymes with Banana) and are expecting baby girl #2. We love the name [name_f]Eliza[/name_f]. It occurred to me that [name_f]Anna[/name_f] and [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] is similar to [name_f]Anna[/name_f] and [name_f]Elsa[/name_f]. The two Anna’s are pronounced differently, but am still unsure what to think.
Frozen is suchhh a big movie franchise and are wondering if other people would think it sounds a bit similar too. What do you think?!!
Any other girl name ideas? Our last name is [name_m]Evans[/name_m].
Personally, I don’t think they’re too much like Frozen at all. I wouldn’t have thought of it if you hadn’t mentioned it, I think [name_f]Anna[/name_f] & [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] are lovely.
Other ideas that I think would go nicely with [name_f]Anna[/name_f]:

At most, it’s faintly similar, but nowhere near enough to be gimmicky. [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] and [name_f]Anna[/name_f] are stunning together!

I don’t think it’s too similar since [name_f]Anna[/name_f] and [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] are both pretty classic names. [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_m]Evans[/name_m] is wonderful!
If you pronounce Anna as ahh-nuh like the movie character, then that’s pretty close. If you pronounce it as anne-uh, then it’s even better (less similar to the movie). I think people will be reminded of the movie either way, but it’s not too close that it’s weird! Anna and Eliza is very cute.

I don’t think of [name_f]Elsa[/name_f] & [name_f]Anna[/name_f] when I see those names, but even if I did, who doesn’t want to be a Disney princess? I’m sure your daughters will love it while they’re young. And by the time they grow up, Frozen will no longer be relevant enough for the association to matter.
I can’t say I see the connection. If you were picking [name_f]Anna[/name_f] and [name_f]Elsie[/name_f] then perhaps a smidge.
