I haven’t posted before so forgive me if this is long. I have twin boys already [name_u]Benjamin[/name_u] and [name_u]Timothy[/name_u]. Naming them was simple because my husband and I wanted traditional and family names being the first grandchildren. However the second time I got pregnant it was with a girl and I immediately felt panicked about her name. For context my name is [name_f]Cambria[/name_f], and I have always always gotten compliments about it. I never liked it growing up but as an adult I appreciate it so much more. But it feels like I have to live up to this name that everyone loves. For my daughter I ended up letting my husband name her because no one liked any of the names I picked, mainly [name_f]Maragold[/name_f]. He named her [name_f]Annaliese[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]. Which to be honest I’m not in love with that much. Now I’m pregnant again with a girl. I want a name that isn’t super common but also it super weird. I feel like I’m stuck on longer names for some reason. Like if it’s longer it’s prettier which I know is stupid. But I just can’t find I name that we both like. Any suggestion that would go with the names we already have?
The first name that came to mind is [name_f]Calanthe[/name_f]… long and unusual. Also pretty and with shorter, more common nicknames ([name_f]Callie[/name_f] & [name_f]Thea[/name_f]). Also, it is a nature name like [name_f]Maragold[/name_f].
I’ll try to come up with some more tomorrow… it’s somewhat late here right now.
Firstly [name_u]Benjamin[/name_u], [name_u]Timothy[/name_u] & [name_f]Annalise[/name_f] are stunning together!
I second some of the suggestions above such as [name_f]Calanthe[/name_f], Eleanor/Eleanora, [name_f]Imogen[/name_f], [name_f]Ottilie[/name_f], [name_f]Clover[/name_f] & [name_f]Arabella[/name_f].
Also would suggest:
[name_f]Annabelle[/name_f] (spelt this way to fit in better with your other children)
[name_f]Catherine[/name_f]
[name_f]Melody[/name_f]
[name_f]Magnolia[/name_f]
[name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f]
[name_f]Victoria[/name_f]
[name_f]Georgia[/name_f]
[name_f]Eloise[/name_f]
Gabriella/Gabrielle
[name_f]Juliana[/name_f]
[name_f]Venetia[/name_f]
[name_f]Violetta[/name_f]
[name_f]Jemima[/name_f]
[name_f]Adelaide[/name_f]
[name_f]Matilda[/name_f]
[name_f]Wilhelmina[/name_f]
[name_f]Claudia[/name_f]
I really like [name_f]Calanthe[/name_f] but my husband is only going for it if its a middle name. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you have any first name suggestions with it?
What about [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] rather than [name_f]Maragold[/name_f]? It’s more acceptable than the alternative spelling and is becoming quite trendy, NN [name_f]Goldie[/name_f].
Well your husband seems to be fond of feminine, sweet sounding, elegant but not extravagant type of names.
[name_f]Annaliese[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] has “kind princess” vibes to me, I like it.
I suggest:
[name_f]Adaline[/name_f] ( like in the movie Age of Adaline)
[name_f]Amelie[/name_f]
[name_f]Aurora[/name_f]
Isabella/ [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f]
[name_f]Natalie[/name_f]
