Too out there for a middle name?

Okay, so for a middle name for [name_f]Isla[/name_f] I was thinking about Bloom
[name_f]Isla[/name_f] Bloom
Honoring Nirvanas song In Bloom
You see, for my future children’s middle names I want to honor my father and do that by using names that tie with our favorite bands, but I know Bloom would be a made up name and I don’t know if [name_f]Isla[/name_f] Bloom sounds just plain stupid or is possibly usuable
I think it sounds cute but it might just be because I love the idea of it
Help!!

I think it could work as a middle, and the way it connects to your father is so sweet. I’d keep it as an option.

Does it have to be In Bloom? I think you’re being very creative and thoughtful, btw, to honor your dad this way :slight_smile: I’m not a fan of [name_f]Isla[/name_f] Bloom. To me it sort of feels like a celebrity baby name. Like [name_f]Frances[/name_f] [name_m]Bean[/name_m] or [name_f]Apple[/name_f]. Sorry

[name_f]Nirvana[/name_f] has a song “[name_f]Polly[/name_f]” which makes a lot of sense to me

It works. It’s not my style, but you have a sweet connection to it. At the end of the day, middle names are to honor connections, so it succeeds. And [name_f]Isla[/name_f] is beautiful!

Under other circumstances, I wouldn’t find Bloom very appealing. But it flows so nicely with [name_f]Isla[/name_f] and the connection is very sweet.

I would keep it as an option.

[name_f]Isla[/name_f] Bloom is pretty. If we use [name_f]Posy[/name_f] as a name, why not Bloom?

I like it! It totally fits under the “floral names” category to me which makes it very usable.

I actually like it! [name_f]My[/name_f] 2 year old is [name_f]Isla[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u], and I think [name_f]Isla[/name_f] Bloom is cute.

I think it works! It’s not a first name, so hardly anyone will know it, and it has tons of emotional connections for you! [name_f]Isla[/name_f] Bloom sounds sweet.

I think middle names are were you can go a little wild, and Bloom isn’t at all over the top.

I think it is lovely, and the connection is so sweet. [name_f]Isla[/name_f] Bloom sounds so friendly and jovial, and the connotations of fresh, new, excited, seeing the world with fresh eyes, etc. that comes with Bloom is utterly gorgeous.
