I think they’re wearable! I mean, [name_f]Astoria[/name_f] is probably the only definite no-no for me and I’m not sure I could use [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] or [name_f]Galilee[/name_f] though I’d like to think I would because I like them. I personally don’t love [name_f]Esmeralda[/name_f] but I appreciate that this is mostly because I don’t have a Spanish connection. I had [name_f]Astrid[/name_f] and [name_f]Violet[/name_f] on my own daughter’s name list. All those middles are fab!
I definitely think that they’re all usable! [name_f]Calpurnia[/name_f] and Wildrose I would say are perhaps too out there for a first, but fine in the middle! I think what helps the names seem wearable is that they all have “normal” nickname potential, perhaps not [name_f]Violet[/name_f] and [name_f]Astrid[/name_f], but those names are very familiar anyway. But you can have [name_f]Esmeralda[/name_f] nn [name_f]Esme[/name_f], [name_f]Galilee[/name_f] nn [name_u]Lee[/name_u] or [name_f]Lily[/name_f], [name_f]Astoria[/name_f] nn [name_f]Tori[/name_f], and [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] nn [name_f]Lia[/name_f], [name_f]Maggie[/name_f], or [name_f]Nola[/name_f]. Having these as nickname options definitely makes the names more accessible in my opinion.
I think the first names are ok for the most part. The only one I wouldn’t use is [name_f]Galilee[/name_f] and that’s because to me it comes off as super religious (I guess because I have never heard it used as a name and only associate it with all the [name_m]Jesus[/name_m] stuff). But of course it all depends on where you live etc.
Your middle names are more “out there”, but people rarely use their middle names in every day life so I think it’s fine to pick a more unique middle name.
[name_f]Astrid[/name_f], [name_f]Esmeralda[/name_f], [name_f]Violet[/name_f], and [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] are not too “out there” in my opinon; I know a girl named [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] who goes by [name_f]Maggie[/name_f]. I don’t like [name_f]Astoria[/name_f] or [name_f]Galilee[/name_f] though.
I’m not sure about some of the middle names; namely [name_f]Calpurnia[/name_f] and Wildrose. All the middle names are “out there” but since they’re middles and (probably) not going to be used in daily life I don’t think it’s a huge deal.
[name_f]Violet[/name_f] is a very common name and [name_f]Astrid[/name_f] too is well-known enough for the majority of people to be familiar with it even if they don’t know one personally, so definitely not too out-there. [name_f]Calpurnia[/name_f] and [name_f]Keturah[/name_f] are more unusual but I don’t think that matters at all for a middle. [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] is getting a fair bit of use these days, not common exactly but it’s ranked #509 in the US, making it slightly more popular than totally “normal” names like [name_f]Jillian[/name_f] and [name_f]Holly[/name_f].
[name_f]Astoria[/name_f] and [name_f]Esmeralda[/name_f] are more out-there, and I’d expect someone named that to get comments or questions about their name being unusual/never heard of it before. I think these names would attract attention and stand out but are usable if you don’t mind that. You might want to consider more common middles though in case they want a name that blends in, especially since neither [name_f]Astoria[/name_f] nor [name_f]Esmeralda[/name_f] really lends itself to an intuitive common nickname.
I’d be hesitant about [name_f]Galilee[/name_f] if you aren’t [name_m]Christian[/name_m], it gives off a very religious vibe. I’d imagine a [name_f]Galilee[/name_f] to be from a devout, conservative evangelical [name_m]Christian[/name_m] family, since most people with unusual overtly Biblical names tend to be from that group. If you are religious though, it’s a lovely name with a soft, pleasant sound and great Biblical association.
I think they’re all usable, and not too ‘out there’ at all. The only two that stand out somewhat as quite unusual for me, are Wildrose & [name_f]Calpurnia[/name_f], but as middles they’re nice.
^All of this. I find [name_f]Astoria[/name_f] and [name_f]Galilee[/name_f] quite ‘out there’, and same with Wildrose and [name_f]Sable[/name_f] but they’re in the middle so it doesn’t matter so much.
I think you’ve created some beautiful and sweet combos! I love [name_f]Esmeralda[/name_f] Wildrose, [name_f]Astoria[/name_f] [name_f]Blossom[/name_f] and [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] [name_f]Sable[/name_f]! As for [name_f]Astrid[/name_f] [name_f]Calpurnia[/name_f], I love [name_f]Astrid[/name_f], I think it’s a lovely and sweet name but I don’t really like [name_f]Calpurnia[/name_f] as a middle. [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Keturah[/name_f] sounds as a nice combo but [name_f]Keturah[/name_f] is not my style. [name_f]Galilee[/name_f] [name_u]Sage[/name_u] is another fine combo even though I’m not sure about [name_f]Galilee[/name_f].
I love [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Keturah[/name_f], [name_f]Galilee[/name_f] [name_u]Sage[/name_u], [name_f]Astoria[/name_f] [name_f]Blossom[/name_f] and [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] [name_f]Sable[/name_f]!
