[name]Hi[/name]!
Okay so I know most of my fellow berries would disagree with me but I like classic names whether they’re trendy and popular right now or not. Maybe it’s cause I’m an [name]Emily[/name] and it’s just built into me, but whatever.
I digress… what I really need help with is if JackJeffrey is just too plain and boring. I love thinking of a little [name]Jack[/name] running around. I like the J.J. And our last name is [name]Ward[/name]; we just like really strong, classic boy names.
The middle name would definitely be [name]Jeffrey[/name] for my father. But if you don’t like [name]Jack[/name] is there other good, strong names that would flow with [name]Jeffrey[/name] in the middle spot? Any suggestions welcome!
Its very cut and dry. [name]Jack[/name] [name]Jeffery[/name] [name]Ward[/name], very dry. [name]Jeffery[/name] [name]Jack[/name] [name]Ward[/name] has better flow to me, but I feel like [name]Jack[/name] [name]Jeffery[/name] doesn’t have enough syllables to make it flow without sending hard. [name]Jackson[/name] [name]Jeffery[/name] [name]Ward[/name] has better flow to me, personally. Or you could even use [name]Jefferson[/name] [name]Jack[/name] [name]Ward[/name].
I love [name]Jack[/name] [name]Jeffrey[/name] W@rd! It sounds so snappy and classic, I think it’s a real winner. I would love to meet a little boy with the name. If it feels too plain to you, I think something like [name]Eli[/name] [name]Jeffrey[/name] [name]Ward[/name] would be lovely, too, but I honestly wouldn’t look past [name]Jack[/name]. I’m not one of those berries that freaks out at popularity, though.
I agree with this. I like [name]Jack[/name] a lot – could you add a second middle name to give it better flow? [name]Jack[/name] [name]Alexander[/name] [name]Jeffery[/name] [name]Ward[/name], for instance. I think a three syllable middle name is needed here.
Hmmm, I see what you mean about it being a little dry, if you say the full name out. I like the idea of [name]Jefferson[/name] too, maybe that’ll be better.
Buttt, I really do love the snappiness of just saying [name]Jack[/name] [name]Jeffrey[/name] haha. And, the symmetry of the 1-2-1 syllable count. I don’t even mind the nn JJ, I think it’s cute.
Thank you for all the feedback though! I think I’m feeling a little more confident now
[name]Jack[/name] [name]Ward[/name] sounds good and that is what is most important. The syllable count isn’t ideal, but it doesn’t make that much of a difference. [name]Jack[/name] [name]Jeffery[/name] [name]Ward[/name] sounds good too.
I also like:
[name]Charles[/name] [name]Jeffrey[/name] [name]Ward[/name]
[name]Edmond[/name] [name]Jeffrey[/name] [name]Ward[/name] (My favorite)
[name]Adam[/name] [name]Jeffrey[/name] [name]Ward[/name]
[name]Frederick[/name] [name]Jeffrey[/name] [name]Ward[/name]
I never really considered double middle names at all but that would be a good idea. I feel though if I give one child a double middle, I’d have to give all my children double mids ya know? We already have our future girls names picked out for the most part so I’d have to go back and rearrange. But who knows, by the time we get to having kids i’ll probably have changed my mind about all of the names haha
I really like [name]Charles[/name] with the nn [name]Charlie[/name]. Especially after watching the perks of being a wallflower! Thanks for reminding me of that
Now that you mention it, it is kind of snappy; I’m kind of seeing it in a different light now.
And if you really like snappy, [name]Charlie[/name] [name]Jeffery[/name] [name]Ward[/name] could even be [name]Chuck[/name] [name]Ward[/name]. That would be super snappy, and kind of quirky.
I’m another one who loves classic (and usually popular) names, so I love [name]Jeffrey[/name] and [name]Charles[/name]. For some reason I have never been able to get behind [name]Jack[/name] as a full first name. I know a couple and for some odd reason, I always feel strange saying it. But that’s neither here nor there – just babbling.
All that nonsense aside, [name]Jack[/name] [name]Jeffrey[/name] [name]Ward[/name] sounds FANTASTIC. Very snappy, cute, and classic. [name]Charles[/name] [name]Jeffrey[/name] [name]Ward[/name] is also a great, classic, sturdy name. And [name]Charlie[/name] is a great nn option, as is CJ! But it doesn’t have the same snappiness as [name]Jack[/name] [name]Jeffrey[/name] for me. [name]Just[/name] depends on which feels right for you. Good luck!
Here’s the thing: [name]How[/name] often will you be calling him by his full name? [name]Jack[/name] [name]Ward[/name] may not be the most original name, but it’s cool, masculine, and timeless. [name]Jeffrey[/name] is meaningful to you because of your father, and meaningful makes [name]Jeffrey[/name] a great choice. As others have pointed out, [name]Jack[/name] [name]Jeffrey[/name] is snappy and catchy. I like it.

Thanks for all the feedback!! Seriously, I never get this much haha.
I think I’m gonna stick to the [name]Jack[/name] [name]Jeffrey[/name] combo cause I like it separate as just [name]Jack[/name], as [name]Jack[/name] [name]Ward[/name], and as [name]Jack[/name] [name]Jeffrey[/name]. I just can’t get over the snappiness! Perfect word to describe it
But [name]Charlie[/name] is definitely in consideration for another boy name! I also really love the name [name]Leon[/name] (nn. [name]Leo[/name]) but I just don’t think I’d get my SO on board with that one
Seriously though, thanks again! If anyone wants to check out my girls names there’s a post in the girls forums
