I have never met a [name_u]Theo[/name_u], so I don’t really think it’s too popular at all. Plus, it’s a great name-- best one on your list, imo. I would use [name_u]Theo[/name_u] [name_m]George[/name_m], for sure:)
I love the name [name_u]Theo[/name_u]. It transitions well from baby to grown man and still sounds fresh.
In all the babies I know from a v large extended family on both sides, playgroups, school, friends, etc etc I only know of one [name_u]Theo[/name_u]. So I really don’t think it’s too popular. Not like in the 80s when there were 6 [name_f]Laura[/name_f]'s and 6 [name_f]Katie[/name_f]'s in my school year…I think people give a wider variety of names these days and so even the most popular now are not as common
What about [name_m]Gareth[/name_m] or [name_m]Garth[/name_m]?
I’m not the biggest fan of [name_u]Theo[/name_u], and it’s definitely booming (whch is not a plus for me). And I’m not mad on [name_u]Theo[/name_u] [name_m]George[/name_m] because of the repeated “eo”. But that’s just me - maybe it doesn’t bother you.
[name_u]Theo[/name_u] is a great name – definitely not too popular.
A warning about [name_m]Coleman[/name_m]: it’s a common Jewish surname. As a Jew, I would not be comfortable with a gentile using this as a first name for their child.
I love [name_u]Theo[/name_u]. It is getting popular supposedly, but I say so what. I only know of one little [name_u]Theo[/name_u] personally. [name_u]Theo[/name_u] [name_m]George[/name_m] is very cute and handsome.
Thanks. [name_m]Gareth[/name_m] isn’t too bad, [name_m]Garth[/name_m] reminds me of [name_m]Wayne[/name_m]'s world or [name_m]Garth[/name_m] brooks. I didn’t really notice the “eo” similarity so it doesn’t bother me too much. However I considered [name_u]Arlo[/name_u] and the “Lo” with my last name “long” bothered me, but maybe that’s more obvious. Thanks, all things to think about!
