I don’t think they are similar at all, not in sound or in style even, but they are both awesome and beautiful names and that’s matching enough. I love [name_f]Marigold[/name_f]!
No, I do not think they are too similar. Not at all.
Not at all.
Absolutely not.
Not at all. I think they’ll work well for siblings.
[name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] and [name_u]Artemis[/name_u] too similar, in terms of sound and too different in style to be sisters. I find the difference in style just emphasizes the similarity in sound. We have a [name_f]Tess[/name_f] and because of the s ending a lot of names are out. [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f], [name_f]Cecily[/name_f], [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f], I feel like sibilants take a little more thoughtfulness in sib-sets.
I would recommend choosing one and going from there.
[name_f]Beatrix[/name_f], [name_f]Marigold[/name_f], and _______
or
[name_u]Artemis[/name_u], [name_f]Pandora[/name_f], and [name_f]Evanthe[/name_f]
Thanks for the replies! Really glad to see it’s a resounding no, and I’m probably overthinking it. And @sarab.cook I don’t mind stylistically different sibsets (maybe because my style is all over the place) as long as I love them individually; too similar ones bug me more. But I’ve never thought of having styled sibsets, and I do actually have names that could nicely finish off [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f]/[name_f]Marigold[/name_f] and [name_f]Pandora[/name_f]/[name_f]Evanthe[/name_f]/[name_u]Artemis[/name_u], so that is some food for thought.
I come from a place where siblings would have names like:
[name_m]Nathan[/name_m] and [name_f]Nathalia[/name_f], [name_m]Julian[/name_m] and [name_f]Juliana[/name_f], [name_f]Gabriella[/name_f] and [name_f]Gabrielle[/name_f]
So I wouldn’t worry if I were you. You have lovely names by the way.
No, not too close, and if I were adding a sibling I’d call her [name_f]Enid[/name_f].
[name_f]Beatrix[/name_f], [name_f]Enid[/name_f] and [name_u]Artemis[/name_u]… so cool, imo.
