My front runner name for a boy is [name_u]Rowan[/name_u] but one of my favourite names is [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]. Are they too similar? Is the ‘ro’ sound too much for a sibset?
I think so…I’d use [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] as a middle name, I think it goes well with most names. I prefer [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] to [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f] by far
I don’t think they’re too similar, but I do think they would set a pattern, especially if you used them for your first two children. If you had 3 kids and the first two were [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] and [name_u]Rowan[/name_u], I worry the last would feel left out without another [name_f]Ro[/name_f]- name.
I prefer not to have same first letters for siblings, but I wouldn’t worry about it because with subsequent pregnancies your lists will change and whichever is left may not even be in your top 10 anymore.
I don’t Think they are too similar in a bad way! Unless you think you will end up calling both “[name_f]Ro[/name_f]” as nicknames! I think they are cute actually!
I think they are too similar.
