[name_m]Ive[/name_m] always loved the name [name_m]Roman[/name_m] but my last name ends with -mons would those be too sing songy or similar ?
or what about the name [name_u]Rowen[/name_u]?
ive always loved names with the [name_f]Ro[/name_f] sound
It might be a little matchy but i thibk you could get away with it
[name_u]Rowan[/name_u] is nice too and I’d suggest [name_m]Ronan[/name_m], [name_m]Rhodes[/name_m] and [name_m]Rolan[/name_m] too
I think you would probably be able to get away with it! [name_m]Just[/name_m] thinking of -mons last names, I think [name_m]Roman[/name_m] Simmons or [name_m]Roman[/name_m] [name_m]Clemmons[/name_m] DOES NOT sound to sing songy!
I like [name_u]Rowen[/name_u]!
I think it would probably be fine! Some names that are similar sound singsongy, but others sound really cool or are barely noticeable.
But I am also going to use this opportunity to pitch the name [name_m]Roland[/name_m]! I also love [name_f]Ro[/name_f]- names ([name_m]Ronan[/name_m], [name_m]Roman[/name_m], [name_u]Rory[/name_u]) and [name_m]Roland[/name_m] is one of my very favorite boy names! It’s so under appreciated in my opinion.
I also love [name_m]Reuben[/name_m] which is a similar idea and might be less matchy!
i think [name_m]RoMan[/name_m] would work with your surname. I would say though the [name_f]Ro[/name_f] sounding names are getting very popular, [name_m]Roman[/name_m] ([name_f]Ro[/name_f]-[name_m]Man[/name_m]) for boys, [name_u]Rowan[/name_u] (Row-[name_f]Anne[/name_f]) for girls I’d try and avoid those names anyway as they are now so ripe for confusion, it wouldn’t have been an issue a couple of years ago but both names are rocketing. I’d get annoyed having to say “[name_m]Roman[/name_m] with an M” etc.
[name_u]Rowen[/name_u] is awful as will continually not only get muddled up but also Mis-spelt. A name like [name_m]Roland[/name_m] is much nicer and won’t get so muddled up
[name_m]Roman[/name_m] is very handsome! I think it would be fine with a -mons surname.
[name_u]Rowen[/name_u] is nice too, but I prefer it on a girl. I did know a boy [name_u]Rohan[/name_u] though - pronounced the same but just appears so much more masculine on paper!
I prefer [name_u]Rowen[/name_u]–and that’s actually the spelling I prefer the most since it’s phonetic but the most common spelling is [name_u]Rowan[/name_u]. I prefer [name_u]Rowen[/name_u] to [name_m]Roman[/name_m] because it reminds me more of a name than a description (person from [name_m]Rome[/name_m]) but maybe that’s just me. Another reason I love [name_u]Rowen[/name_u] is because I think it’s a beautiful spin on [name_u]Owen[/name_u]! In reference to what pp said, [name_u]Rohan[/name_u] is not pronounced the same has [name_u]Rowen[/name_u]. Like [name_u]Rowen[/name_u], [name_u]Rohan[/name_u]'s pronunciation is phonetic: [name_f]Roe[/name_f]-Hawn.
Also let’s say your last name is Simmons. [name_m]Roman[/name_m] Simmons is not too matchy at all! And in the end if you love [name_m]Roman[/name_m] more I would go for that instead of trying to convince yourself to love [name_u]Rowen[/name_u]. [name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps!
