Too similar?

Q1: Are the names Natalie and Zachary too similar for siblings?

Q2: If sibling was Gabrielle, does she sound like the odd one out? Natalie, Zachary, and Gabrielle?

Could you please provide feedback on both questions separately. Thanks!

Agreed!

I think names that end with the -ee sound are sooo common, that it’s difficult to avoid them for a sibset! So I think you’re fine! Plus, they will probably be called [name_f]Natalie[/name_f], [name_m]Zach[/name_m], and [name_u]Gabby[/name_u] (so then [name_m]Zach[/name_m] is the “odd one out”), unless you don’t do nicknames, idk.

In conclusion, you’re fine, they’re a good sibset :relaxed:

Thanks for the feedback:) And if there was no Gabrielle… if it’s just [name_f]Natalie[/name_f] and [name_m]Zachary[/name_m] what do you think?

Thanks for the input  For [name_f]Natalie[/name_f] and [name_m]Zachary[/name_m], it’s more than just the ee ending… all the vowels are the same. That’s my concern

I don’t think [name_f]Natalie[/name_f] and [name_m]Zachary[/name_m] are too close! They sound well together.

[name_f]Natalie[/name_f], [name_m]Zachary[/name_m], and [name_f]Gabrielle[/name_f] go well together; [name_f]Gabrielle[/name_f] does not seem to be the odd one out.

THEY LITERALLY ONLY HAV ONE SOUND IN COMMON! IF ANYTHING IT MAKES THE MATCH BETTER AS SIBLINGS!

I’m sorry- But yes, they 10000000% work-

I think they sound just fine together!

  1. Definitely not too similar! You can also do a shortened nn like [name_u]Nat[/name_u] or [name_m]Zach[/name_m] if you’re really worried about it.
  2. I think [name_f]Gabrielle[/name_f] works nicely- it feels a little bit longer than the others when it’s written out but that’s not really an issue- it’s a beautiful sibset. Again, you could use always use a nn!

The way I say them all 3 of the vowels are the same (short a, schwa, long E), and they are both 3 syllables with the same stress pattern

I don’t think they’re too similar! They have similar rhythms but not enough to be confusing.

I think [name_f]Natalie[/name_f], [name_m]Zachary[/name_m] & [name_f]Gabrielle[/name_f] work nicely

[name_f]Natalie[/name_f], [name_m]Zachary[/name_m] and [name_f]Gabrielle[/name_f] sound beautiful together! I don’t find them too similar at all.

I think they make a great set

I don’t think they are to close, and [name_f]Natalie[/name_f], [name_m]Zachary[/name_m] and [name_f]Gabrielle[/name_f] are lovely.
