Too white to use Araceli etc?

This may sound like an odd question, but I’d like to get your opinion. I have loved the name Araceli and Cesia since my high school days and that was a long time ago. I think they are absolutely gorgeous and beautiful names and I would totally consider using them as possibilities but I have also never seen that name on anyone as white as me. Someone mentioned it in another post and I know I’m now going to be obsessing over this name for the rest of the day LOL. What are your thoughts? Can you see it working?

A quick google search revealed a number of white [name_f]Aracelis[/name_f] and [name_f]Cesia[/name_f] I can imagine quite easily

I mean, I first think of these names as Spanish (Araceli) or Latin (Cesia). People of different races speak Spanish, and Latin is associated with ancient Rome, which had mostly white people. So I don’t see a reason why using these names would be odd or insensitive. Neither feels tied to a specific race.

I think if you love a name enough to actually use it, it doesn’t matter the origin of it or where it’s used.

It could definitely work.

Well, as emmievis said, they are not indigenous names or something. Spanish and Latin are European languages spoken by white Europeans as well as others.

Depends on your comfort level more than anything else. They’re so rare for me that they don’t strongly link to a certain culture.

I understand choosing a name that fits your identity if you want to avoid people assuming youre White or [name_m]Black[/name_m] or whatever. Same reason I don’t love unisex names sometimes.
