I looked up the top 10 baby names for 2012. I live in the United States, I have lived in 4 different states. I know very few people with any of these names and rarely hear the names while out and about. I have heard that anyone that chooses these names must not be putting thought into the names. This might be true for some but I believe most people spend quite a bit of time choosing names for their children. Personally I love [name_f]Sophie[/name_f]/[name_f]Sophia[/name_f], I know of one [name_f]Sophie[/name_f]. I think the name is beautiful. I love [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f]/[name_f]Isabel[/name_f] and [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] and would use either, the name honors my late sister. I do not know anyone named [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] or [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] and have not heard it while out and about. [name_m]Jacob[/name_m] was one of our top choices for our son, he is a teen. We decided not to use it because it was popular, even then, and it did not honor anyone. If it did honor family we might have still used it.

[name_m]Alexander[/name_m] - do not know any, hear the name
[name_u]Aiden[/name_u] - know one that lives far away, hear the name
[name_f]Sophia[/name_f] - know one that lives far away, her the name but not so often it has grown tiring
[name_f]Emma[/name_f] - [name_f]Emma[/name_f] is a family name, I used to hear the name but not much any more

[name_f]Mia[/name_f] - love this name, have never met one and rarely hear it out
