I thought I had picked a stable top five, but now I am not so sure. I need help with narrowing down my list! One of my problems is that I love nicknames and some of my favorites don’t have good options. Also wondering if there are any similar names that I missed. Help me get it down to 10?
I’m going for a warm winter white, starlight and fireside, quiet and rustic, ancient European-ish vibe. Like a little snow prince watching the night sky from his cozy bedroom, red berries past the window and all the wonders of the woods beyond. Or a forlorn knight riding his velvet-cloaked horse through a silent, freshly snowed upon forest, blue gemstones on the hilt of his sword.

He likes [name_u]Oberon[/name_u], [name_u]Auberon[/name_u], [name_m]Rainier[/name_m] and [name_m]Odin[/name_m] but I am not sure. Middle name will be [name_m]Gregory[/name_m] after my father.
[name_m]Caspian[/name_m] and [name_m]Evander[/name_m] are adorable. (I would use [name_m]Caspian[/name_m] in a heartbeat if it went with my last name). I love those two names the others are not my style-I adore [name_f]Indy[/name_f] but here it is a girls name but if it works in your area it is pretty neat!!

I really like these four, and my top favorite is [name_m]Ronan[/name_m] (NN Rone, rhymes w/ [name_u]Joan[/name_u], or [name_f]Roe[/name_f] or [name_m]Ron[/name_m]), with [name_m]Evander[/name_m] (NN [name_u]Van[/name_u]) a close second. These are great names that gives the romanticized vibe you want but can also live in the modern world quite well.

I would scrap Ranwolf and Rhydian - I personally think they might be a little too ‘out there,’ especially Ranwolf (also it is cool). I don’t find [name_u]Sander[/name_u] too occupational because it sounds like [name_m]Zander[/name_m], so it sounds like a name to me and fits in with current trends. However, it does seem trendier than most of your other names. I was going to suggest a fuller name for [name_f]Indy[/name_f] because [name_f]Indy[/name_f] as a full name possibly leans girl for me, but I see your husband has vetoed [name_m]Indio[/name_m] (which I love!). What about [name_f]Indigo[/name_f] or [name_m]Inigo[/name_m]?

I like [name_m]Ronan[/name_m] best from your list. It’s a good fitting-in-while-standing-out name. Feels familiar without being common at all, and is unique without being too strange. It also seems to fit with your description of a wintery prince. I can imagine a little [name_m]Ronan[/name_m] being [name_m]Prince[/name_m] of a snowy kingdom.

I love [name_u]Sawyer[/name_u], and I think it is a very masculine name, but it seems to stick out among your other choices, so I think naming a sibling would be hard. I would save it for a middle name on a future child.
