Updated list
Making a new post for help with making a list of 10 names for my husband to choose from. For context, look up the “[name_m]Roger[/name_m]? [name_u]Seth[/name_u]? [name_m]Clive[/name_m]?” Post.
Prefer names that aren’t too common, but familiar.
We don’t have the same taste so I’m struggling to come up with ideas, sorry! I think [name_u]Seth[/name_u] is worth keeping as an option. [name_m]Clive[/name_m] makes me think of CS [name_m]Lewis[/name_m] - have you considered [name_m]Lewis[/name_m] or [name_m]Louis[/name_m] as an option? That would round out your top 10 nicely

I like [name_m]Simon[/name_m], [name_m]Frank[/name_m], [name_m]Frederick[/name_m], [name_m]Philip[/name_m], and [name_m]Reuben[/name_m] on your new list. I think [name_m]Frank[/name_m] is OK on its own w/o being [name_u]Francis[/name_u]. I always thought [name_u]Francis[/name_u] was a little girly. 10 seems like a lot of names to love, so I hope you get veto power on the final decision.

I really like a lot of names on your list. [name_m]Philip[/name_m] is probably my favorite (was the runner-up name to [name_m]Peter[/name_m] for my expected son actually), and I also love [name_m]Roger[/name_m], [name_m]Raymond[/name_m] and [name_m]Frederick[/name_m]/[name_m]Frank[/name_m].
Also really like the other suggestion of [name_m]Malcolm[/name_m].

My husband has not seen this list yet but knows [name_m]Roger[/name_m] is a favorite from a previous list of mine. Hopefully he gets the hint.
I’m loving most of your suggestions again, saintdollface! [name_m]Martin[/name_m] is a perfect alternative to [name_m]Mitchell[/name_m] and [name_m]Marshall[/name_m]. Definitely going on the list. I usually don’t like surname names, either. [name_m]Nigel[/name_m] is a bit quirky, but I like it’s sophistication.
I like [name_m]Clive[/name_m] better than [name_m]Lewis[/name_m], and I don’t like the [name_m]Louis[/name_m] spelling. It is similar to [name_m]Linus[/name_m], which I like, but can’t get over the peanuts association.
Sarah1800 [name_m]Desmond[/name_m] and [name_m]Malcolm[/name_m] are so handsome and strong. Wonderful suggestions! I agree that 10 is a lot, but I’m finding it to be easier than I thought. He is going to pick his top 2 and then I pick the final out of those, so it shouldn’t be too bad. I will definitely be changing my list around tonight.

Thanks, dizzy. I find that most people don’t share my taste and call me old fashioned but it doesn’t bother me.
[name_m]Peter[/name_m] is a lovely name. It’s my grandfather’s name but he was not a good person, so it’s not an option for us.
I like your suggestion of [name_m]Harold[/name_m]. I don’t know why I haven’t thought of it before. [name_u]Howard[/name_u] is nice too but I feel like I have to do one or the other. I’m getting much more excited to put my list together now. Thank you all so much!
I prefer [name_m]Harold[/name_m] to [name_u]Howard[/name_u] too. [name_m]Hal[/name_m] is a great nickname. Have fun with your list!
My updated list for now. I plan on letting it stew overnight and revising in the morning as needed. I will be presenting it to my husband tomorrow evening! Thank you all for your help.
