We’re expecting Number 3 due in early February next year, although if this bean is like the other 2, he/she will be very early! We have narrowed our name choices to our top 2 and I was just looking for some final opinions on the names. We will most likely decide for definite when we meet him/her but I’m curious as to other people’s reactions to them! All levels of critscism very welcome: so give it your best shot! Only thing I should say we don’t do nicknames and name our kids what we intend to call them!
So, to join [name]Daisy[/name] [name]Hannah[/name] and [name]Joel[/name] [name]Matthew[/name]:
Well, as much as I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]LOVE[/name] [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Lewis[/name], I don’t believe it matches well with [name]Daisy[/name] and especially [name]Joel[/name]. Therefore, I vote [name]Adam[/name]. By the way, [name]Henry[/name] is a lovely name.
[name]Pippa[/name] to me isn’t a name. I know that’s a bold statement, because I am certain almost everyone on this site is in love with this name. But I’ll use the, “if you love it, use it” line. [name]Thea[/name] is very cute. I think [name]Thea[/name] and [name]Daisy[/name] go great together, and even though it doesn’t quite fit in with [name]Joel[/name], I would still use it.
I love [name]Lewis[/name] [name]Henry[/name] and [name]Pippa[/name] [name]Louise[/name]. [name]Lewis[/name] [name]Henry[/name] is very classic and regal, and I think [name]Adam[/name] is too plain in comparison. [name]Thea[/name] is pretty but I like [name]Pippa[/name] so much more. Its sweet and feminine and [name]Louise[/name] is also classic and elegant.
[name]Pippa[/name] is just adorable and I love it with [name]Daisy[/name] and [name]Joel[/name] so that gets my vote for a girl.
[name]Thea[/name] isn’t bad but it does sound nicknamey. Are you pronouncing it ‘Tee-uh’ or ‘[name]Tay[/name]-uh’ or even ‘Thee-uh’? The pronunciation isn’t obvious so that tends to put me off a name. I’ve said this before but if it’s ‘Tee-uh’ then I’m not loving it because with your last name it sounds like ‘[name]Tea[/name] and Drinkwater’ which isn’t a big problem and but I don’t like it.
Of the boy’s names I’m drawn more to the sound of [name]Lewis[/name] but [name]Adam[/name] [name]Henry[/name] is just gorgeous. If it were [name]Louis[/name] [name]Henry[/name] I’d go with that but the [name]Lewis[/name] spelling isn’t very classy where I am so that pushes me to vote for [name]Adam[/name] [name]Henry[/name] Drinkwater.
I do love [name]Adam[/name] with [name]Daisy[/name] and [name]Joel[/name] too.
I think that biblical [name]Adam[/name] best matches biblical [name]Joel[/name]; [name]Lewis[/name]/[name]Louis[/name] by comparison feels too regal, formal and patrician. [name]Adam[/name] [name]Henry[/name] flows well and again matches [name]Joel[/name] [name]Matthew[/name] well.
[name]Thea[/name] Drinkwater (I’m assuming you’re pronouncing it [name]THAY[/name]-uh) sounds lovely. I like [name]Thea[/name] and [name]Daisy[/name] as sisters. [name]Pippa[/name], by comparison, is a girlish nickname, not a stand-alone name, and it strikes me as very insubstantial. [name]Thea[/name] began as an abbreviation for the much more regal [name]Theodora[/name], but has been given independently for some time.
[name]Thea[/name] [name]Louise[/name] is adorable and spunky (just like [name]Daisy[/name])! Are you pronouncing it Thee-ah?
My initial reaction was to vote for [name]Lewis[/name] [name]Henry[/name], but I agree that it is difficult to pronounce along with [name]Joel[/name]. [name]Adam[/name] [name]Henry[/name] is a solid handsome name.
I love [name]Pippa[/name] [name]Louise[/name]! [name]Pippa[/name] is one of my favorite names. If I ever have a daughter, [name]Pippa[/name] will be a strong contender. I don’t like [name]Thea[/name], it sounds dull and boring to me. I’m not a fan of either of your boys names, honestly. But my favorite would be [name]Lewis[/name] [name]Henry[/name].
[name]Adam[/name] goes wonderfully with [name]Joel[/name]. I don’t care for [name]Thea[/name] in that is sounds a little to old for you. [name]Pippa[/name] goes lovely with [name]Daisy[/name].
Thanks everyone, We say thee-ah and [name]Lewis[/name] is spelt thus because [name]Louis[/name] is almost exclusively - and correctly, I may add - pronounced loo-ee here!
I love [name]Thea[/name] [name]Louise[/name] (pronounced THEE-ah) and [name]Lewis[/name] [name]Henry[/name]. [name]Adam[/name] [name]Henry[/name] is really nice too, [name]Lewis[/name] is just my personal preference. [name]Both[/name] are nice with [name]Daisy[/name] and [name]Joel[/name].
I’m sick and tired of [name]Pippa[/name], so I hope you don’t use it (if you’re in the U.K. anyway).
[name]Adam[/name] works best with [name]Joel[/name].
[name]Thea[/name] is one of my faves! I am so glad to hear that you are pronouncing it Theee-ah! (rhymes with [name]Leah[/name]). Pronouncing it any other way could be problematic. I adore [name]Pippa[/name], but [name]Thea[/name] would be less popular, so that makes it more appealing to me.
[name]Daisy[/name] seems a bit out of place in your sibset, but hey, pick the name that you both love the most!
For boys, I like [name]Daisy[/name], [name]Joel[/name] and [name]Adam[/name]. It’s got that classic feel going on like the other two, and when you say [name]Joel[/name] and [name]Lewis[/name] together the Ls might run into each other. [name]Lewis[/name] also feels more trendy than your other names.
For girls, I like [name]Daisy[/name], [name]Joel[/name] and [name]Pippa[/name]. It’s got the same British classic nickname vibe that [name]Daisy[/name] has, while still perfectly legit as a standalone name. [name]Thea[/name] just sounds plain in comparison to [name]Pippa[/name], and to [name]Daisy[/name] and [name]Joel[/name], which I must say are a very well-named pair.
To join your darling [name]Daisy[/name] [name]Hannah[/name] and [name]Joel[/name] [name]Matthew[/name], I’d choose [name]Lewis[/name] [name]Henry[/name] or [name]Thea[/name] [name]Louise[/name].
I think that [name]Lewis[/name] and [name]Thea[/name] both have easy to recognize and slightly quirky classics I think they’d be perfection with [name]Daisy[/name] and [name]Joel[/name].
On the other side I think [name]Adam[/name] is a little tame and common placed in comparison to [name]Joel[/name] and [name]Lewis[/name]. (PS: I agree [name]Lewis[/name] needs to be spelled like this not [name]Louis[/name]). [name]Pippa[/name] is a little too rebellious in comparison to the sweeter [name]Thea[/name] to me. I also find that [name]Pippa[/name] has a similar spunk factor to [name]Daisy[/name] and I think that [name]Thea[/name] allows for a very seperate personality without breaking from a complementary feel.
Good [name]Luck[/name], all your choices are handsome/beautiful.
[name]Adam[/name] [name]Henry[/name] and [name]Thea[/name] [name]Louise[/name] would be my choices for [name]Daisy[/name] and [name]Joel[/name]'s siblings.
[name]Adam[/name] is solid and Biblical like [name]Joel[/name]. [name]Thea[/name] is sweet and pretty like [name]Daisy[/name].
I know you don’t want the “loo-ee” pronunciation but I prefer the [name]Louis[/name] spelling because it looks more like a first name rather than a surname like [name]Lewis[/name].
[name]Pippa[/name] is just a nn for [name]Philippa[/name] in my opinion and I don’t like its childish sound. It’s a great name for a little girl but I really think that Ms. Middleton has grown out of it long ago.
I really really like [name]Thea[/name] & [name]Adam[/name] with your sib-set! I’ve always liked the name [name]Adam[/name], I wouldn’t personally use it but I like it for you, it’s one of my favorite boy names that I actually heard on my generation a lot. I absolutely adore [name]Thea[/name], it used to be on my list but I have two more girl names that I love a bit more {[name]Veda[/name] & [name]Leta[/name]} that sound very similar to me. I’m pronouncing it Thee-ah, which I think is the most natural pronunciation. I find it short, sweet, & a bit spunky. Which are almost my exact ways to describe [name]Daisy[/name]!
[name]Pippa[/name] is okay, it’s fun and quirky but isn’t as substantial to me as [name]Thea[/name]. I also don’t find it pretty. [name]Lewis[/name] [name]Henry[/name] is nice it’s nms but I like it for other people. I just don’t think it goes with [name]Joel[/name] as well as [name]Adam[/name] does.
Oh, I love your choices! My votes go to [name]Adam[/name] [name]Henry[/name] and [name]Pippa[/name] [name]Louise[/name]! I totally love those two and Either one will join [name]Daisy[/name], and [name]Joel[/name] very nicely. Best wishes to you!
For a boy, I prefer [name]Daisy[/name], [name]Joel[/name], and [name]Adam[/name] [name]Henry[/name]. I understand your reasons for wanting the [name]Lewis[/name] spelling over [name]Louis[/name], but I feel that puts it squarely in the surname category, and so a pairing of [name]Daisy[/name], [name]Joel[/name], and [name]Lewis[/name] seems random to me, and not very cohesive. [name]Adam[/name] [name]Henry[/name] has such strength and character, like [name]Joel[/name], and [name]Lewis[/name] seems weaker in comparison.
For a girl, I prefer [name]Daisy[/name], [name]Joel[/name], and [name]Thea[/name] [name]Louise[/name]. I love the flow of [name]Thea[/name] [name]Louise[/name], and I think [name]Thea[/name] and [name]Daisy[/name] share a sweetness and spunk. [name]Pippa[/name] is adorable, but quite trendy, and it seems a bit flimsy as a stand-alone name. I also think there’s a bit of a stylistic hiccup between the sparkly bubbly [name]Pippa[/name] and the more elegant classic [name]Louise[/name]. As [name]Louise[/name] is clearly your choice for a middle, [name]Thea[/name] makes a much better match.
On their own, I prefer [name]Lewis[/name] and [name]Thea[/name]. But, to match the spunk of [name]Daisy[/name], I’m sort of leaning toward [name]Pippa[/name], since [name]Thea[/name] sounds a little too regal to go next to [name]Daisy[/name]. And adam is a little dull to me, while [name]Lewis[/name] has charm.
I vote [name]Adam[/name] [name]Henry[/name] and [name]Pippa[/name] [name]Louise[/name].
I don’t like the name [name]Lewis[/name], never have. I’m not sure why, maybe I don’t like the sound or something. [name]Adam[/name] is a lot nicer
[name]Pippa[/name] seems more complete to me than [name]Thea[/name]. I would think [name]Thea[/name] to be short for [name]Theodora[/name].
On their own I prefer [name]Lewis[/name] [name]Henry[/name] and [name]Thea[/name] [name]Louise[/name].
With your other children I think [name]Adam[/name] is a better fit than [name]Lewis[/name]. And [name]Lewis[/name] would fit better spelt [name]Louis[/name]. But [name]Lewis[/name] doesn’t sound bad and personally I find [name]Adam[/name] [name]Henry[/name] a little bit boring.
With your other children in mind, [name]IMO[/name] [name]Thea[/name] and [name]Pippa[/name] would work fine either.
