I’m really torn between [name_m]Ansel[/name_m] and [name_m]Hart[/name_m]; they’re both really nice! I think my vote will go to [name_m]Hart[/name_m] though. I like strong one syllable names a lot

I, too, voted for [name_m]Hart[/name_m] (:

I voted for [name_u]Skylar[/name_u]. It just sounds nicer to my ear than [name_m]Ansel[/name_m] which is very nasally and [name_m]Hart[/name_m] just seems like it’s missing something. I also think [name_u]Skylar[/name_u] is refreshing on a boy!

Wow, I’m surprised [name_m]Ansel[/name_m] has taken such a strong lead! My fiancé will be happy - I think he’s partial to it.

[name_m]Ansel[/name_m] is handsome. [name_m]Hart[/name_m] seems odd for a first name, but would make a distinctive middle. [name_u]Skylar[/name_u] is okay, but not really my style.

I voted for [name_m]Hart[/name_m]. simple, but charming. [name_u]Skylar[/name_u] is all girl to me, and i find [name_m]Ansel[/name_m] harsh and annoying.

I prefer [name_m]Ansel[/name_m] out of the three.

It’s funny that some of y’all think [name_m]Ansel[/name_m] sounds harsh or nasally! We agreed we liked it because of its softness. It also evokes those lovely [name_m]Ansel[/name_m] [name_m]Adams[/name_m] black-and-white nature photographs to me, and the word “easel.”

Though we love all three, I tend to lean towards [name_m]Hart[/name_m] (I also love simple but distinct one-syllable names, and the poet [name_m]Hart[/name_m] [name_m]Crane[/name_m] is one of my favorites), and my fiancé towards [name_m]Ansel[/name_m]. [name_u]Skylar[/name_u] is our mutual favorite, but we are still on the fence about whether we are okay with how it sounds next to our surname.

Thanks for the feedback!

[name_u]Skylar[/name_u] definitely got my vote! I adore [name_u]Schuyler[/name_u]/[name_u]Skylar[/name_u]/[name_u]Skyler[/name_u] for a boy, although I prefer the original [name_u]Schuyler[/name_u] spelling. [name_m]Ansel[/name_m] and [name_m]Hart[/name_m] are so cool, too, though!

I love [name_m]Ansel[/name_m]! [name_m]Anselm[/name_m] is near the top of my boys’ list. I’ve only ever known one [name_m]Ansel[/name_m], but it worked really well on him! Great, underused classic name! Makes me think of lovely [name_m]Ansel[/name_m] [name_m]Adams[/name_m] photos! [name_m]Hart[/name_m] is a little too…little for me and [name_u]Skylar[/name_u] seems kinda trendy. Good luck!!

[name_m]Ansel[/name_m] is beautiful! I agree that it’s a soft, distinguished name. [name_m]Hart[/name_m] would be my second choice - it feels cool, dashing and dynamic.

I like [name_m]Ansel[/name_m] the most!

I voted for [name_u]Skylar[/name_u]. I also really like [name_m]Hart[/name_m]. [name_m]Ansel[/name_m] just sounds funky in my accent, so I’m indifferent on that one.

[name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_m]Ansel[/name_m]! I also like [name_u]Skylar[/name_u], but I much prefer the [name_u]Schuyler[/name_u] spelling.

I love this - exactly how I think of each of them, too! [name_f]Glad[/name_f] I’m not alone.

For those saying they prefer [name_u]Schuyler[/name_u] to [name_u]Skylar[/name_u], we did consider it, and I even made a separate poll about it last week! But ultimately the inevitability of [name_u]Schuyler[/name_u] constantly having his name misspelled, mispronounced, and having to spell it out made the anglicized version a winner (the poll also favored [name_u]Skylar[/name_u] 63% to 37%). We also have some personal reasons for the [name_u]Skylar[/name_u] spelling.
