I voted for [name]Kian[/name]. It has a short and likeable sound. I also like [name]Caius[/name], but it seems like a lot of name. [name]Callum[/name] is not my cup of tea.
I voted [name]Callum[/name] by default. I don’t like [name]Kian[/name] and wasn’t sure how to pronounce it… and [name]Caius[/name] is just well, like naming a baby [name]Caesar[/name]. Or [name]Nero[/name]
[name]Callum[/name] is so common, overdone and almost dated in the UK so it doesn’t appeal to me.
[name]Kian[/name] is pretty popular but it’s really growing on me lately, sounds so handsome. I’ve never really liked K names so I would consider it more with the [name]Cian[/name] spelling.
[name]Caius[/name] is gorgeous and I love the nickname [name]Cai[/name] too.
1 [name]Caius[/name] - a great ancient [name]Roman[/name] name
2 [name]Kian[/name] - I prefer the Irish [name]Cian[/name] spelling
3 [name]Callum[/name] - I’ve seen this name far too much lately to find it interesting.
I appreciate the responses, and how many votes there have been! It’s also really nice to hear some perspective from someone in the UK and in [name]Canada[/name]. I have been a little worried about how super popular [name]Callum[/name] has become in the UK, [name]Canada[/name] and [name]Ireland[/name] ([name]Cian[/name]/[name]Kian[/name] seems to be super popular in [name]Ireland[/name] too, but a bit less so in the UK and [name]Canada[/name]). I’ve never met anyone named [name]Kian[/name]/[name]Cian[/name], [name]Callum[/name] or [name]Caius[/name] and that’s one of the things that attracts me to these particular names (as well as their sound/meaning/history/etc). But when a flock of Callums from the UK/[name]Ireland[/name]/[name]Canada[/name] start popping up at the international school my kids are likely to attend (we are expats who will most likely live in [name]China[/name] or abroad elsewhere during the kids childhood years), I wouldn’t appreciate that.
My vote went to [name]Caius[/name]! Strong and handsome with the sweet nn [name]Cai[/name]. [name]Kian[/name] would be my second pick though I prefer the [name]Cian[/name] spelling, K’s always seem a bit harsh. I’ve never really seen the appeal of [name]Callum[/name].
Despite the fact that [name]Callum[/name] has the most votes, I think that one is falling off our top list. I’m pretty sure [name]Kian[/name] and [name]Caius[/name] have taken the top spots.
