We like the name [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] as well but I’m uncertain of a middle name. We like botanical/nature and color names, but any suggestions would be appreciated!
[name_f]Welcome[/name_f] to Nameberry! [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] is also my favorite here; I don’t love the back-to-back plants (Rowan Violet) or colors (Ivy Sienna).
[name_u]Quinn[/name_u] [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] or [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] would work as well.
Thank you for the replies so far! [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] is my husband’s pick and I adore it. The only other one I truly love is [name_u]Rowan[/name_u] and this is so hard lol.
I can understand why you feel torn, both [name_f]Violet[/name_f] and [name_u]Rowan[/name_u] are gorgeous names! In all honesty I only voted for [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] because I like combo more than [name_u]Rowan[/name_u] [name_f]Violet[/name_f]- but if that combo gets you both a compromise of your favorites it’s worth considering. Personally I’d keep searching for the right middle name for [name_u]Rowan[/name_u] and keep both on the table as first name options and just see which feels right after the baby arrives.
[name_f]My[/name_f] favorite is [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] – such a striking, yet delicate name. It’s also got a similarly classic ring to it like [name_m]Isaac[/name_m]. [name_f]My[/name_f] second favorite is [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] [name_f]Sienna[/name_f], but I don’t know if the double “I” letter in your sibset would bother you? Actually, [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] and Ivy’s cute in my opinion. [name_f]My[/name_f] third favorite is [name_u]Rowan[/name_u] [name_f]Violet[/name_f].
Congrats! I love [name_m]Isaac[/name_m], btw! I have a hard time deciding, too. I love the sound of [name_f]Violet[/name_f], but I can’t shake the the shrinking violet association. But I like [name_u]Rowan[/name_u] better overall for the sound and the friendly, Irish feel. [name_u]Rowan[/name_u] [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] would be my pick though! Another thing you might care about: [name_f]Violet[/name_f] will very possibly end up tied to the 2020s, as it’s up 703 spots nationally in the last 20 years.
[name_f]My[/name_f] favourite is [name_u]Rowan[/name_u] [name_f]Violet[/name_f]! I really like these two names together, they are a similar vibe for me. I also like it swapped: [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_u]Rowan[/name_u]
You all are a huge help! [name_u]Rowan[/name_u] [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] would definitely be beautiful too. I feel like the obvious nickname for [name_u]Rowan[/name_u] would be [name_f]Ro[/name_f] but I’m unaware of any others. [name_f]My[/name_f] husband mentioned [name_f]Violet[/name_f] has “V”, “Vi” as in Vie, “Lettie”… I’m unaware of any others. Usually I find one name I love more than the others, (I have 5 other kids) ,and it’s easy, but I’m truly so torn lol.
[name_f]Ivy[/name_f] [name_f]Sienna[/name_f] is on my list too so that’s my favorite then a slight preference for [name_u]Rowan[/name_u] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] over [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Eliza[/name_f], but honestly I adore all three
