Top 5

I’ve been posting a lot, thank you berries for your help! I would love opinions! This list is in no particular order.

[name_f]Peridot[/name_f]
[name_f]Ione[/name_f]
[name_f]Lavender[/name_f]
[name_f]Eve[/name_f]
[name_f]Silvia[/name_f]/[name_f]Sylvia[/name_f]

P.S I’m not looking for any more ideas, it took a long time to narrow it down to 5! My original list was obscene  also, while I do have combos picked out, I don’t feel comfortable sharing middles due to privacy

Thanks!

[name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] and [name_f]Eve[/name_f] are my favorite from your list. I adore [name_f]Eve[/name_f] and would use it in a heartbeat. [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] nn Sylivie is stunning too and I would also use personally.

I’m not brave enough to use the other 3 as first names.

[name_f]Eve[/name_f] is gorgeous!!! Good luck naming!

[name_f]Peridot[/name_f] is a little too adventurous for me, but I guess it could work with the nickname [name_f]Perri[/name_f].
I don’t care for [name_f]Ione[/name_f] so much, because I don’t find the pronunciation to be very straight forward.
I love [name_f]Lavender[/name_f]! While some people find it too out-there, I think it works because of the [name_m]Harry[/name_m] [name_m]Potter[/name_m] and [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] characters.
[name_f]Eve[/name_f] is lovely; classic, short and sweet, the soft V sound.
I like [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] too (I prefer [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] over [name_f]Silvia[/name_f]), but my favourite version of the name is [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f]. [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] is also a beautiful name, though.

[name_f]Peridot[/name_f] - A little too unique for my tastes, buy it does have nn [name_u]Peri[/name_u] and [name_f]Dottie[/name_f].
[name_f]Ione[/name_f] - Also unique, it seems like a shorted form of a longer name to me.
[name_f]Lavender[/name_f] - A nice, very feminine name but it doesn’t have many nn. Lavy? Ender? Endy?
[name_f]Eve[/name_f] - [name_f]Eve[/name_f] is a simple, pretty name, with the nn [name_f]Evie[/name_f].
[name_f]Silvia[/name_f]/[name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] - A very pretty name, with the adorable nn [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f].
[name_m]How[/name_m] about-
[name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] [name_f]Eve[/name_f] (My favorite)
[name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] [name_f]Ione[/name_f]
[name_f]Lavender[/name_f] [name_f]Ione[/name_f]
[name_f]Eve[/name_f] [name_f]Peridot[/name_f]

[name_f]Lavender[/name_f]'s nick name would be [name_f]Lulu[/name_f]
Also we pronounce [name_f]Ione[/name_f] eye-OH-nee

I love [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] and [name_f]Lavender[/name_f] from your list. Both beautiful, unexpected, and very sweet names.

[name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] is one of my absolute favorites, so of course I’m going to vote for that #1.

The others…

[name_f]Lavender[/name_f] - this is such a darling pick. It’s different without being weird or trying to hard.
[name_f]Ione[/name_f] / [name_f]Peridot[/name_f] - tied. I think [name_f]Ione[/name_f] is a cutting-edge choice. A then E and now O have been the begins-with vowels of choice and I think [name_f]Ione[/name_f] could be a fit in stand out choice when parents start looking beyond [name_f]Isla[/name_f] and [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] and [name_f]Ivy[/name_f]. [name_f]Peridot[/name_f] nn [name_f]Dot[/name_f] is fantastic. I have them tied here because the middle and last names would be the tie-breaker. I think [name_f]Peridot[/name_f] [name_m]Smith[/name_m] and [name_f]Ione[/name_f] [name_u]Percy[/name_u], for example.
[name_f]Eve[/name_f] - great name, to be sure, but [name_f]Eva[/name_f], [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u], and [name_f]Ava[/name_f] are all so popular, that if someone is willing to use [name_f]Lavender[/name_f] or [name_f]Peridot[/name_f] (for example) then I’d rather spice things up a bit!

Thanks everyone!

[name_f]Peridot[/name_f] isn’t my favorite. I see the appeal, though. It sounds very classy, but more in a champagne-brand sense than a name-sense if you know what I mean? I agree with everyone else though, ‘[name_f]Perrie[/name_f]’ is a really cute nickname

[name_f]Ione[/name_f] has a beautiful quality about it, although I agree with others above me that it is a little hard to figure out the pronunciation/spelling if you hear it spoken out loud.

[name_f]Lavender[/name_f] is personally a GP favorite of mine: it’s so pretty and actually my favorite color, but at the moment it does feel a little ‘out there.’ I guess it depends on the context - in some areas it isn’t uncommon to have a name so unique, so it wouldn’t be an issue, but in an entire school filled with [name_f]Emma[/name_f]'s and [name_u]Aidan[/name_u]'s, it may seem a bit too out of place.

[name_f]Eve[/name_f] is, by far, my favorite name on this list. It is so beautiful and simple and has a mystical quality. I also really love the nickname [name_f]Evie[/name_f].

[name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] is a nice name, a little more vintage than I personally like but there’s nothing wrong with it.

[name_f]Peridot[/name_f] - I love [name_f]Peridot[/name_f] and find it so charming, spunky, and beautiful, but I’m not gutsy enough to put it up front! I have considered it many times as a middle, though, and would love to see [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f]/[name_f]Silvia[/name_f] [name_f]Peridot[/name_f], even though I know you already said you have combos picked out.
[name_f]Ione[/name_f] - I like it okay, but I like [name_f]Iona[/name_f] a bit more. I’ve loved [name_f]Iona[/name_f] for a while now.
[name_f]Lavender[/name_f] - I love the scent of lavender, and pretty much anything to do with purple, but I can’t see [name_f]Lavender[/name_f] working on an actual human. It’s too GPish for me.
[name_f]Eve[/name_f] - I love [name_f]Eve[/name_f] a lot, and have it as a maybe as I’m totally revamping my list, but I think I’m leaning more toward [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] (nn [name_f]Eva[/name_f]) or just [name_f]Eva[/name_f] at this point. I love [name_f]Eva[/name_f]. I would love to meet an [name_f]Eve[/name_f], though, and I’m sure your combo for it is gorgeous!
[name_f]Sylvia[/name_f]/[name_f]Silvia[/name_f] - my favorite. I have loved [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] for a long while now, and can appreciate both spellings (I think [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f]'s easier–it’s more popular.). She’s classic and yet still unexpected, and I would love to meet a little [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f]!

I would rank them [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f], [name_f]Eve[/name_f], [name_f]Peridot[/name_f], [name_f]Ione[/name_f], and [name_f]Lavender[/name_f]. All are nice, but [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] and [name_f]Eve[/name_f] are my favorites.

Good luck!

[name_f]Eve[/name_f], all the way, simple, elegant, timeless, strong - gorgeous.

It’s one I would use in a second if my last name wasn’t [name_f]Summers[/name_f], making our daughter “[name_f]Summers[/name_f], [name_f]Eve[/name_f]” on the class roster (ouch).

My top three from your list would be:
[name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] - I love the vintage charm of this name, and the nn [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] is so pretty.
[name_f]Lavender[/name_f] - It’s so unexpected compared to another [name_f]Lily[/name_f], [name_f]Rose[/name_f], or [name_f]Violet[/name_f]. I thoroughly love the idea of using [name_f]Lavender[/name_f].
[name_f]Peridot[/name_f] - I really love the quirky surprise of using [name_f]Peridot[/name_f]

My favorite from your top 5 is [name_f]Ione[/name_f]. I love it! My second choice is [name_f]Eve[/name_f]. I do like [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f], but love [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] much more.
