Just brainstorming ideas right now and not actually pregnant. I’d like your thoughts on my top names.
Alexa/Alexandra nn Alexa- I love how Alexa sounds, but I know the Amazon Alexa makes this name hard to wear right now.
Madelyn/Madeline/Madeleine-I was originally avoiding another M name, but I love how Cassie and Maddie sound together. It’s dhs favorite name.
Olivia-A family name on my husband’s side. I just love it, but not sure if I’d use a nickname like I do with Cassie.
Pearl is my top middle name contender since it was my great grandma’s middle name. Marie is both of our moms middle names and another of my Great Grandma’s first name.

I need to move on from the baby phase lol.
If you have an Amazon [name_u]Echo[/name_u] you can change the awake name so it doesn’t have to be [name_f]Alexa[/name_f]. The biggest issue with the name would just come from people making jokes about it.
I have never owned one period, and I don’t plan to. So in our house it wouldn’t be an issue. [name_m]Just[/name_m] an issue outside of our house. And with potential teasing like you mentioned. So that’s why I was considering [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] nn [name_f]Alexa[/name_f]. She can choose any nickname she likes.
I agree that [name_f]Alexa[/name_f] is unfortunately pretty unusable at the moment ,I love [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] Pearl,Madeleine [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] and [name_f]Madeline[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f]!
Of these, my favorite is [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] by far— I also really like [name_f]Alexa[/name_f] but the Amazon association would be a deal breaker for me personally.
As an alternative, I do like [name_f]Olivia[/name_f], but greatly prefer [name_f]Livia[/name_f] or even just [name_f]Liv[/name_f].

[name_f]My[/name_f] oldest daughter just entered kindergarten last week and her class is so diverse that the only repeat name is [name_u]Eli[/name_u]. Who would have thought? So it’s made me reevaluate the popular names I love. I didn’t catch all of the kids names. [name_m]Just[/name_m] caught only 2 who has to use their last names. So I’m actually loving all 3 names right now. [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] has been my favorite since my last pregnancy. I just love how [name_f]Alexa[/name_f] sounds and how [name_f]Maddie[/name_f] and [name_f]Cassie[/name_f] sound together.

I agree! [name_f]Madeline[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] gets my top vote, with [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] as a close second. [name_f]Madeline[/name_f] seems like the strongest contender given your love for [name_f]Maddie[/name_f] and your husband’s approval. [name_f]Olivia[/name_f], while common, is still so sweet and wearable. It’s one of the names I love regardless of popularity - same with [name_f]Madeline[/name_f].
If you choose [name_f]Olivia[/name_f], I think [name_f]Livie[/name_f] is really cute with sister [name_f]Cassie[/name_f].
Seconding considering [name_u]Marie[/name_u] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f]. Normally I don’t like or suggest putting honor names in the first name spot, but [name_u]Marie[/name_u] is a lot more fresh as a first name than as a middle name and it makes for a very sweet combination.
[name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] is also so beautiful! I’m not personally a fan of [name_f]Maddie[/name_f] but if you love the nickname and your partner loves the full name, this might just be the one!
While [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] is too popular for my blood, I do love the idea of [name_f]Cassie[/name_f] and [name_u]Ollie[/name_u], more so than [name_f]Cassie[/name_f] and [name_f]Maddie[/name_f]. [name_u]Ollie[/name_u] adds a little spunk to the super popular and traditional [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] I think. There’s also [name_f]Olive[/name_f] as a nn option (or even full name option if you weren’t wanting a top 10 baby name.) [name_f]Liv[/name_f] or Livie/Livvie works too.
If [name_f]Alexa[/name_f] is the one that keeps calling to you, I’m definitely in the camp of going with [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] and just using [name_f]Alexa[/name_f] as a nickname. [name_f]My[/name_f] only apprehension- is [name_f]Cassie[/name_f] [name_f]Cassandra[/name_f]? If so I’d avoid [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] because the whole second half of both names match.

I couldn’t settle on a spelling I preferred without a headache so we have never agreed to it. Plus last year I just couldn’t do another M name. I just adore [name_f]Cassie[/name_f] and [name_f]Maddie[/name_f] though.
I love the name [name_f]Alexa[/name_f], and I know an [name_f]Alexa[/name_f] (age 9) who I don’t believe is bothered by the name at all. [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] isn’t my favorite, but it would work perfectly with sisters’ names (better than Alexa)! [name_f]Alexa[/name_f] on its own provides lots of nickname options like [name_u]Alex[/name_u], [name_u]Lex[/name_u], [name_u]Lexi[/name_u], [name_u]Allie[/name_u], etc.
[name_f]Madeline[/name_f] is my favorite spelling, but I don’t care for the name, and I don’t think it fits with your other daughters’. [name_f]Maddie[/name_f] does go well with [name_f]Cassie[/name_f], though!

I know you didn’t mention it, but I love [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] [name_u]Marie[/name_u]! It has a lovely flow and beautiful imagery!
