[name_m]Hi[/name_m] so baby #2 is coming in spring! we have an [name_u]Emerson[/name_u] (boy), and if the next one is about he is [name_m]Wilder[/name_m]. Easy for us. But if it’s a girl we are in love with two names.
[name_u]Wren[/name_u] [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] or [name_f]Ada[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f]
I was set on [name_u]Wren[/name_u] but I’m starting to feel unsure about it, I think I read to many negative comments! Eep! My husband likes both but [name_f]Ada[/name_f] a little more. I guess I’m just looking for some experienced naming advice lol! Help?
Edit: Wow thank you for all the replies everyone. This is so hard!
On a similar note, what do you think of the combo Ada River instead of Violet?
Both are beautiful names. I live with a little [name_f]Ada[/name_f] so I may be swayed a little more towards her name! You really can’t go wrong either way. Go with your gut.
Definitely [name_f]Ada[/name_f]. [name_f]Ada[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] is gorgeous. I feel that because [name_u]Wren[/name_u] is having such a moment right now it will feel dated very quickly (although maybe it’s just a nameberry moment?). Soft [name_f]Ada[/name_f] is so timeless, either way, and [name_f]Ada[/name_f] always felt light purple to me, so I love her with [name_f]Violet[/name_f].
I don’t think either one will ever become so popular as to become dated. But I don’t like the [name_u]Emerson[/name_u]/[name_u]Wren[/name_u] sibset and [name_f]Ada[/name_f] is not my style. If I had to choose it would be [name_u]Wren[/name_u]. If I am allowed to make another suggestion as to what goes with [name_u]Emerson[/name_u] I would say [name_f]Linnea[/name_f].
I vote ada violet. If you have another boy one day you can still call him wilder without repeating the initial. Or [name_u]Wren[/name_u] if it’s a girl. [name_u]Emerson[/name_u], [name_f]Ada[/name_f] and [name_m]Wilder[/name_m]. [name_u]Emerson[/name_u], [name_f]Ada[/name_f] and [name_u]Wren[/name_u] sound perfect to me.
I vote [name_f]Ada[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f], as much as I love [name_u]Wren[/name_u] [name_f]Sophia[/name_f], it just doesn’t flow as well for me. I would have voted for [name_u]Wren[/name_u] [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] but the pp points out a very good point, maybe that doesn’t worry you, my vote must goes to [name_f]Ada[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f]
I prefer [name_u]Wren[/name_u]. I know a bunch of little [name_m]Adas[/name_m], and pretty as the name is, I think its similarity to [name_f]Ava[/name_f] is pushing it higher and higher up the charts.
I love [name_f]Ada[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f].
Since you love [name_m]Wilder[/name_m], I wouldn’t use [name_u]Wren[/name_u] because that would ([name_f]IMO[/name_f]) rule out [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] in case you have a third child.
I think [name_u]Emerson[/name_u] and [name_f]Ada[/name_f] sound great together! I don’t love [name_u]Emerson[/name_u] and [name_u]Wren[/name_u] as much. Somehow the -er and -ren sounds in the names (or maybe its the -son and -ren?) don’t flow as well to my ear (but could just be me!). I like the different vowel beginnings in [name_u]Emerson[/name_u] and [name_f]Ada[/name_f].
I love the name [name_u]Wren[/name_u], but I think with your son’s name, [name_f]Ada[/name_f] goes better. I also love the combo [name_f]Ada[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f].
