I am really torn between [name_f]Ava[/name_f] and [name_f]Ella[/name_f]. I feel as if I would not be able to use the both of them in the future because they sound too sickly sweet paired together. I know both are very popular, but that doesn’t bother me. Which one is the better choice? I’ve laid out the pros and cons of both names:
[name_f]Ava[/name_f] is a name I fell in love with the moment I first heard it! I love the old Hollywood glamour image it portrays, and the fact that it begins with an “A” and ends with an “a” (my name does as well). This may be a stretch, but it could perhaps even honour my great-grandmother [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u]? My only concern is that it doesn’t match my regular naming style, as many people perceive it as trendy.
[name_f]Ella[/name_f] is a newer addition to my list. I am very much attracted to its vintage appeal and fun nickname “[name_f]Ellie[/name_f]”.
I prefer [name_f]Ella[/name_f]. [name_f]Ava[/name_f] has a harsh sound to me.
Probably not helpful but I prefer some other names on your sig more: [name_f]Lucy[/name_f], [name_f]Clementine[/name_f], [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f], [name_f]Alice[/name_f], [name_f]Arabella[/name_f], [name_f]Daisy[/name_f], [name_f]Ivy[/name_f], [name_f]Jane[/name_f], [name_f]Lily[/name_f], [name_f]Matilda[/name_f], [name_f]Olivia[/name_f], [name_f]Violet[/name_f].
You could use [name_f]Arabella[/name_f] (or any of the many other ‘elle’ ending names, or [name_f]El[/name_f] starting names such as [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]) and have [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] for short.
What about [name_f]Avia[/name_f]? A good mix of [name_f]Ava[/name_f] and [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] and also starts and ends with a…or [name_f]Evie[/name_f] if you want to honor [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u]?
