My friend and her husband are trying to find a first name for their daughter and really struggling. They are dead set on using [name_f]Trina[/name_f] as her middle name (after a family member who has passed away) and they do not want the first name to end with A since they don’t like the double A endings. They also don’t want a name ending in the long e sound since it clashes with their last name. From the few examples, what do you think would flow nicely for them?
Some names they liked but will not be using-
[name_f]Eliza[/name_f] (they don’t like [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f])
[name_f]Stella[/name_f] (they can’t use [name_f]Estelle[/name_f])
[name_f]Helena[/name_f] (they don’t like [name_f]Helen[/name_f])
[name_f]Elsa[/name_f]/[name_f]Elsie[/name_f] (they don’t like Eslpeth/[name_f]Elsbeth[/name_f])
I’m fairly certain they will like [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] and [name_f]Guinevere[/name_f]! I know they won’t like your others though, they really despise unisex and boy names. They want something classic and girly like the examples
[name_f]Eloise[/name_f] could give them the nn [name_f]Elsie[/name_f], how about [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] [name_f]Trina[/name_f]? Or maybe [name_f]Elodie[/name_f] [name_f]Trina[/name_f]? They seem to like more vintagy names so possibly
[name_f]Adeline[/name_f] [name_f]Trina[/name_f]
[name_f]Alice[/name_f] [name_f]Trina[/name_f]
[name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] [name_f]Trina[/name_f]
[name_f]Annelise[/name_f] [name_f]Trina[/name_f]
[name_f]Margot[/name_f] [name_f]Trina[/name_f]
[name_f]Heloise[/name_f] [name_f]Trina[/name_f]
[name_f]Annabelle[/name_f] [name_f]Trina[/name_f]
[name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] [name_f]Trina[/name_f]
[name_f]Miriam[/name_f] [name_f]Trina[/name_f]
The problem with [name_f]Elsie[/name_f] (and [name_f]Elodie[/name_f]) is that it ends with the long e sound which they really, really want to avoid because of their last name
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] or [name_f]Nell[/name_f]
[name_f]Annabelle[/name_f], [name_f]Mirabelle[/name_f], [name_f]Clarabelle[/name_f], [name_f]Christabelle[/name_f], so on and so forth
The [name_m]Little[/name_m] Women names - [name_f]Beth[/name_f], [name_f]Josephine[/name_f], and [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] or [name_f]Meg[/name_f] fit the requirements
[name_f]Elise[/name_f]
[name_f]Esther[/name_f]
[name_f]Jessamine[/name_f]
[name_f]Therese[/name_f] or [name_f]Tess[/name_f]
It’s difficult to find names that don’t end in -a or -ee but are as pretty and classic as the names your friends like!
She likes [name_f]Laurel[/name_f], [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f], and [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f]! She also likes [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f], [name_f]Lillian[/name_f], and [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] but she’s concerned about instant nicknames ([name_f]Emme[/name_f]/[name_f]Lily[/name_f]/[name_u]Josie[/name_u]) which don’t sound good with their last name
