Town Names!

The book I’m writing now takes place in [name_u]Texas[/name_u]. And [name_u]Texas[/name_u] has literally every city name one could think of. (We also like to steal names from other places, like there’s a [name_u]Paris[/name_u], an [name_u]Arlington[/name_u], and a Rhome–though spelled different.) I love Claflin, but that’s out (because it’s real…), because the city IS FICTIONAL, and very integral to my plot. Now, I’m just getting frustrated.
I want the name to have last-name potential, and to sound masculine.
Aargh! [name_m]Can[/name_m] y’all help?

How about:
[name_u]Essex[/name_u]
[name_m]Granger[/name_m]
[name_m]Tolliver[/name_m]
[name_m]Ashford[/name_m]
[name_u]Braxton[/name_u]
[name_u]Guthrie[/name_u]
[name_u]Huxley[/name_u]
[name_u]Kensington[/name_u]
[name_m]Sanford[/name_m]
[name_u]Windsor[/name_u]
[name_m]Bronx[/name_m]
[name_u]Galway[/name_u]
[name_m]York[/name_m]

I don’t know if any of these are real places in [name_u]Texas[/name_u] or not.

What about if you took a name like [name_u]Kensington[/name_u] and mixed it up a bit to create something like Kellington, or Kensingford?

I also thought of:

Brinston
Lindley
Sylford
Standington
Melforth
Alperth
Addingston
Pilcher
Dunwinston

Sorry don’t know if any of these are in [name_u]Texas[/name_u] already!
