Traé Marie (girls name)

Is this a good name for a girl? I love the way it sounds, looks and rolls. Is it to bold?

Pronounced [name]Tray[/name]?

I need pronunciation help too…I’m trying to say “[name]Tray[/name]” but the aé feels redundant because I would say é as “ay”

Yes pronounced ‘[name]Tray[/name]’ – the reason I added the é was to make it more girly. So basically just another way to spell it. I am not usually one of those people that tries to make my own spelling of names to be “unique” I just love the way this name sounds for a girl and needed a way to make less boyish

With the accent it makes me want to pronounce it “Trah-ay”, not “[name]Tray[/name]”. I would prefer it spelled [name]Trey[/name] or better, Treya as it seems more like an actual name. Honestly I’m not a big fan of [name]Trey[/name], any spelling. I feel like it would be like naming a child Plate.

Good point Greyer! Thank you!

I automatically pronounced it [name]Tray[/name]-ah. I agree with Greyer, I think Treya would be much easier to live with.

I do like the flow of Treya [name]Marie[/name].

ick…I don’t like it at all

I see the appeal of the sound in trey. If you like it, I would just spell it [name]Trae[/name] - the accent is redundant and confusing. I wouldn’t consider this a bold name, especially with middle [name]Marie[/name].

its very cute

Why would you randomly just add an acute accent into the mix? I’m feel like this is trolling for some reason, if it isnt then I apologize and suggest that you spell the name correctly. It doesnt look bold imo, it looks really downmarket and silly.

It’s so…unusual, but I like it. I think it’s unique and pretty.

I thought it was [name]Tray[/name] [name]Marie[/name] and this kind of sounds like French-- tres jolie or something like this. Not my style, but not horrible either.

I would prefer it is a double barrel first name than a fn mn combo, to avoid her just being called [name]Trae[/name].

It sounds a bit incomplete to me, and the accent makes it confusing. Treya would be a better option, and you could use [name]Trey[/name] as a nickname then.

To be honest, I’m not a fan. I agree with the earlier sentiments…makes me think of “Ashtray”. Is it the sound that you are in love with, or the French appeal?

Its just trashy sounding

[name]How[/name] about [name]Faye[/name] [name]Marie[/name]?

The accent is just used wrongly and so doesn’t appeal to me at all. Why not go with [name]Therese[/name] [name]Marie[/name] (sorry, I can’t use the correct accents in these boxes for some reason) and use the nn [name]Trae[/name]/Treya? That would be cute. Growing up in New [name]England[/name], I know quite a few [name]Therese[/name]/Theresas who were nn [name]Tray[/name]/[name]Trey[/name].

Frankly, I think it’s ridiculous. I agree with the PP that [name]Therese[/name] [name]Marie[/name] is a much better option (and a legitimate name).
