[name_m]Hi[/name_m] everyone! [name_f]My[/name_f] husband and I are expecting out third baby in [name_u]January[/name_u], a boy, and we are having some serious name indecision. We already have an older boy (Wyatt) and girl (Abigail). For this boy we are torn between 3 names. [name_u]Leo[/name_u]- which we love but fear is becoming too popular, [name_m]Deacon[/name_m]- also love but doesn’t sound great with our last name which also has an “ON” ending, or [name_m]Peter[/name_m]- which is classic and timeless but maybe just a little boring?
Please help!
other suggestions that go well with [name_u]Wyatt[/name_u] and [name_f]Abigail[/name_f] are also welcome. Thanks!!
I don’t think [name_m]Peter[/name_m] is boring! That is my favorite of the three and sounds so sweet with [name_u]Wyatt[/name_u] and [name_f]Abigail[/name_f]. I also like all nicknames: [name_m]Petey[/name_m], [name_m]Pete[/name_m], P
[name_u]Leo[/name_u] is on my shortlist of two, so that gets my vote! I’m also worried it is too trendy / popular though, so I understand your concern!
[name_m]Deacon[/name_m] is also gorgeous and sounds great with your other kids names. I wouldn’t worry too much about it sounding too similar to your last name, he won’t be called by both names every day!
I think you have some really great names here! (Also I might be bias because my son has one of these names)
[name_u]Leo[/name_u] feels a little trendy. I know a lot of little Leo’s ( and for good reason it’s a great name)
[name_m]Deacon[/name_m] fits so well with [name_u]Wyatt[/name_u] and [name_f]Abigail[/name_f]! I feel like they belong together . I wouldn’t worry about the on ending . Our last name ends in on as well , there’s also the alternative [name_u]Declan[/name_u] or [name_u]Dean[/name_u] which would mix up the ending concern
[name_m]Peter[/name_m] is traditional and classic. It’s recognizable and hard to mess up the spelling. It’s underused in my opinion
Your first 2 have great names! I like [name_u]Leo[/name_u] best out of the 3 you listed above. It’s certainly popular but I don’t see it making it to the top 10 in the near future. I think your concerns re: [name_m]Deacon[/name_m] and [name_m]Peter[/name_m] are totally valid.
W, A and…
[name_u]Perry[/name_u] or [name_m]Patton[/name_m]
[name_m]Graham[/name_m]
[name_u]Theo[/name_u] or [name_m]Otto[/name_m]
[name_u]Hayes[/name_u]
[name_u]Beau[/name_u]
[name_f]Do[/name_f] you mind sharing where you live? [name_u]Leo[/name_u] is on my list too and I’m worried it’s too popular, but I know it does depend on where you are!
[name_u]Leo[/name_u] you could pair it with [name_m]Peter[/name_m] and it will be [name_u]Leo[/name_u] [name_m]Peter[/name_m] or [name_m]Peter[/name_m] Leo!!
i love [name_u]Leo[/name_u]! i understand your concern about it becoming very popular but if you really love it go for it!
also [name_m]Deacon[/name_m] is so handsome! goes great in the sibset, as well as [name_m]Peter[/name_m]
i second the suggestion of [name_u]Dean[/name_u] and [name_u]Declan[/name_u] if you worry it doesn’t go well with your last name
[name_u]Wyatt[/name_u] & [name_f]Abigail[/name_f] are lovely! I think that [name_u]Leo[/name_u], [name_m]Deacon[/name_m] or [name_m]Peter[/name_m] sound pretty good as a little brother. [name_m]Peter[/name_m] is my personal favorite. It’s not boring necessarily. It’s actually not heard that often on little tykes in my area at least. It does seem sort of traditional next to the spunky cowboy sounding [name_u]Wyatt[/name_u]. That’s not a deal breaker though. It doesn’t clash or anything like that. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you guys like nick-names? I love the nns [name_u]Pip[/name_u] & [name_m]Patch[/name_m]! I think that [name_u]Leo[/name_u] fits in slightly better, but it is getting popular. Still a cute name, but I do hear it everywhere. It will get annoying if popularity really bugs you. [name_m]Deacon[/name_m] is not my personal favorite & it’s a bummer that it doesn’t sound good w/your ln. Because it is an interesting choice that fits in well.
Hopefully this rambling doesn’t confuse you more!
Here are a few suggestions that you may like-(maybe the ‘n’ ending ones aren’t good w/your ln though?)
