I was just answering a question on here and I kind of hesitated…
I wanted to say something in regards to when I picked out the name with my then partner for my 1st angel but I was worried… he isn’t here… it’s not on a birth certificate. Like I feel like it is the same but Something screamed in me saying ‘You are not a mother’ and ‘YOU CAN’T talk about this subject as you haven’t done it’.
Sorry if I shouldn’t post this… It just happened and I don’t know where else to even ask or write this.
Are you afraid people are going to say that you can’t provide input to a naming discussion because you haven’t carried a pregnancy to term? I’m sure there are some people out there who would say that, but those people are buttholes. You ABSOLUTELY can talk about what it was like naming your child, even if he isn’t here anymore.
I think @jensowvlen said it perfectly. As far as I’m concerned, you are a mother who has named a child, and I hope you never feel like your input is unwelcome here.
