Looking for names for triplets, two girl one boy. I’m open to any suggestions. I don’t know if I want them to all start with the same letter, these are my first children. Middle name and nickname ideas would be appreciated if you have any!

I would avoid using the same initials but that’s completely your decision. I would definitely advise against giving two the same initial and the third something different, like [name_f]Laura[/name_f], [name_m]Luke[/name_m] and [name_f]Aimee[/name_f] or something. Also, since you bring up the question of matching initials, and others have suggested some possibilities with them, here is my two cents. Personally, I would not go for the same initials for all three–unless perhaps for the middle names (that could actually be a sweet bond between them). As someone with multiples in the family I feel that fostering a unique identity for each child is really important, and having distinctive names, in my view, helps this (this may be especially the case for your two girls since comparisons between children of the same gender–and eventual confusion between the two girls–is more common. That’s why I didn’t pair “[name_f]Iris[/name_f] and [name_f]Ivy[/name_f]” or “[name_f]Ivy[/name_f] and [name_f]Zoe[/name_f]”, with the same ending sound, in my suggestions). That said, of course each kid will be an individual no matter what you name them, and I know families who all share the first initial and have all thrived, so really you should go with what you love the best
I tend to not like having the same initials for siblings, especially multiples. I shared an initial with my sister, and it was often logistically annoying- they’d have to write out the first few letters instead of just the initial. Once on a family vacation, my two uncles were given the wrong rental cars because they’re both J. Lastname and happened to rent from the same company. I’m also a big believer in giving multiples a sense of individuality, and different sounding names is a great way to way to do that.
