Trixie-Beau

We live near a marina and i love seeing all the names on boats. Some seem like they could be used on a real person. I came across [name_f]Trixie[/name_f]-[name_u]Beau[/name_u] yesterday and i really like it even though [name_u]Beau[/name_u] is a boys name. I just like how they sound together. What do you think?

Erm… I do see what you mean about it having a catchy flow, but it’s far too cutesy and twee to use on a real child for me - sorry!

[name_f]Trixie[/name_f] or [name_u]Beau[/name_u] on their own are already edging towards too-sweet territory as full names, so both together is just way too much [name_f]IMO[/name_f].

You may have to go with [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] [name_f]Isabeau[/name_f] to bury the lead but i think you could pull it off for the first 10 years or so.

I think you may be right hahaha. [name_m]Even[/name_m] the boat looks cute as its a little dinky one not a huge one

I think its adorable, but i prefer it as a nn. Maybe [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] [name_u]Beau[/name_u] or [name_f]Trixie[/name_f] [name_f]Isabeau[/name_f]?

I adore [name_f]Trixie[/name_f], and I’m always glad to see her get some love, since very few seem to agree, sadly. I don’t think [name_f]Trixie[/name_f]'s childish, more like fun, energetic, bright, and mischievous, but I think [name_u]Beau[/name_u] on the end is a bit much. [name_m]Even[/name_m] for me it feels somewhat immature. I also don’t like [name_u]Beau[/name_u] on a girl, and think [name_u]Bo[/name_u] would better, but I don’t think the combo helps alleviate the childish/stripper/dog image of [name_f]Trixie[/name_f] that so many people have. But I second [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f]/[name_f]Trixie[/name_f] [name_f]Isabeau[/name_f] or [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] [name_u]Bo[/name_u], and I do like the names individually, with [name_u]Beau[/name_u] for a boy and maybe [name_u]Bo[/name_u] for a girl or as a nn.

I really dislike [name_u]Beau[/name_u] on a girl, because I’m a [name_m]French[/name_m]-speaker, so [name_f]Isabeau[/name_f] even seems way off to me, but I like the sound of [name_f]Trixie[/name_f] [name_u]Beau[/name_u].

I think as a first & middle set, it could work.

I also like [name_f]Trixie[/name_f] [name_f]Belle[/name_f].

[name_u]Beau[/name_u] is not only a boy name, it’s a french masculine word. I would respect the country it comes from. You can spell it [name_u]Bo[/name_u] or [name_m]Bow[/name_m].

[name_f]Trixie[/name_f]-[name_u]Bo[/name_u] is cute.

I’m sorry to be blunt, but it sounds painfully cutesie and/or like a dog name.

Perfectly fine, i think id better just admire it on the boat!
