[name]Hi[/name] everyone,
We are closing in on our due date and we are not set on a name.
Any thoughts are MUCH appreciated:
My DH’s faves:
[name]Amber[/name]
[name]Rose[/name] [name]Marie[/name]
(I like [name]Rose[/name], do not love [name]Marie[/name] in this case. Here [name]Marie[/name] sounds kind of boring and old to me, AND our last name s.l. [name]Roberts[/name]. Still not sold on alliteration “R.R.” A good, more fresh mn could make the alliteration more tolerable for me perhaps? Either way I think we need a strong, usable mn if we went with [name]Rose[/name] [name]Roberts[/name]. Middle name ideas with [name]Rose[/name] [name]Roberts[/name]?)
My faves:
*[name]Victoria[/name] (possible mn: [name]Lauryn[/name])
[name]Camille[/name]
[name]Brooke[/name]
Hawley (my middle name pronounced [name]Holly[/name])
[name]Kinna[/name] (a family name. pronounced Kee-na, [name]Tina[/name] with a “K”)
From your lists, I like [name]Rose[/name], [name]Camille[/name], and [name]Holly[/name] (but I like it spelled the traditional way - I know the spelling you suggested comes from your own middle name, but if you plan on using it as a first name, I would change the spelling to avoid pronunciation issues and to make it look more like a formal name).
I also think you should consider some variations of [name]Rose[/name], like [name]Rosalind[/name].
[name]Rosalind[/name] [name]Gail[/name] [name]Roberts[/name], is one suggestion that could work.
[name]Amber[/name]: Here’s what [name]Pam[/name] and [name]Linda[/name] wrote about [name]Amber[/name]:
“Out of style now: try [name]Ruby[/name], [name]Jade[/name], or [name]Pearl[/name].”
I have to agree with them…[name]Amber[/name] honestly feels dated to me, reminding me of names like [name]Tiffany[/name].
[name]Rose[/name] [name]Marie[/name]: I absolutely love the name [name]Rose[/name] as a first name!
[name]Rose[/name] [name]Evangeline[/name]
[name]Rose[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name]
[name]Rose[/name] [name]Genevieve[/name]
[name]Rose[/name] [name]Juliet[/name] (oops…not with your last name because of the Ts)
[name]Rose[/name] [name]Julianne[/name]
[name]Rose[/name] [name]Marielle[/name]
[name]Rose[/name] [name]Victoria[/name] (combines both of your favorites)
[name]Victoria[/name]: I think it’s very pretty, but I’m not much of a [name]Vicki[/name]/[name]Tori[/name] fan. (I do know one [name]Victoria[/name] who managed to go through life as just [name]Victoria[/name], and I think it’s a gorgeous name.)
It’s #27 now, which may or may not bother you. [name]Lauren[/name] (the yooneek y spelling looks trendy/misspelled to me) and [name]Victoria[/name] both have the same “or” sound, so when I say [name]Victoria[/name] [name]Lauren[/name] out loud, I hear a lot of “or.” From your list of middles, I think that [name]Victoria[/name] [name]Brooke[/name] and [name]Victoria[/name] [name]Camille[/name] sound beautiful.
