Trouble narrowing list honest opinions needed

[name]Hi[/name] I’m a long time lurker first time posting. Need some helping getting down to at least top 10, what are your impressions of these names. Any favorites, middle name suggestions?

In alphabetical order

[name]Helena[/name] ( heh lee na)

My top 10 from your list would be:

I love your list!

[name]Amelia[/name] - pretty but it’s never really appealed to me. I like [name]Emilia[/name] more.
[name]Ariana[/name] - love! A variation of this name, [name]Arianne[/name], is my second favorite girls’ name.
[name]Audrey[/name] - pretty but it’s always felt a bit boring to me. I like it much better as a MN.
[name]Caroline[/name] - love! I’m considering adding it to my list, but I like another feminine [name]Charles[/name] variant, [name]Charlotte[/name], more.
[name]Celia[/name] - pretty but it’s always been a bit nicknamey to me. I think [name]Cecilia[/name] nn [name]Celia[/name] works a bit better.
[name]Charlotte[/name] - adore! This is on my top five.
[name]Claire[/name] - I like it, but as a MN only. I like [name]Clara[/name] as a FN more.
[name]Eleanor[/name] - This is actually one of the MNs I have for [name]Arianne[/name]. I love it.
[name]Elizabeth[/name] - Pretty, but there are a few other [name]Elizabeth[/name] forms I like more–particularly [name]Isabelle[/name], [name]Lillian[/name], and [name]Eliska[/name].
[name]Eloise[/name] - pretty and I think it’d be a stunning MN, but I like [name]Elise[/name] more.
[name]Grace[/name] - love. I actually love the idea of [name]Grace[/name] [name]Eloise[/name]!
[name]Helena[/name] ( heh lee na) - love this (and [name]Grace[/name] [name]Helena[/name]), but I’m not crazy about the heh-[name]LEE[/name]-nah pronunciation. I used to love it, but I much prefer heh-leh-nah now.
[name]Katherine[/name] - like a lot but I prefer [name]Catherine[/name].
[name]Laura[/name] - pretty but a bit boring to me. I like [name]Laurel[/name] or [name]Lorelei[/name] more.
[name]Lillian[/name] - love! I’m trying to decide between [name]Lillian[/name] and [name]Liliana[/name] for my list.
[name]Louisa[/name] - pretty. I’m starting to prefer [name]Eloise[/name], though.
[name]Madeline[/name] - I like it a lot but prefer [name]Madeleine[/name] (with the “len” ending as opposed to the “line”…)
[name]Matilda[/name] - sweet, and I adore the nn [name]Tilly[/name]! It’s not exactly my style but I like it a lot.
[name]Meredith[/name] - not really my style, and I don’t think it fits as well as the other names on your list.
[name]Olivia[/name] - love! This is actually my third favorite girls’ name.

[name]Olivia[/name], [name]Lillian[/name], [name]Grace[/name], [name]Helena[/name], [name]Charlotte[/name], and [name]Ariana[/name] are my favorites!

Good luck!

[name]Amelia[/name] - I do think this is a lovely name, but too popular for me!
[name]Ariana[/name] - Prefer [name]Arianna[/name] spelling but this name is not my style
[name]Audrey[/name] - Prefer [name]Aubrey[/name] I think, but neither is my style
[name]Caroline[/name] - Dislike by association
[name]Celia[/name] - Prefer [name]Cecilia[/name]
[name]Charlotte[/name] - [name]Love[/name] this, but like [name]Amelia[/name], too popular for me!
[name]Claire[/name] - [name]Love[/name] [name]Claire[/name]! What about [name]Clara[/name]?
[name]Eleanor[/name] - So cute
[name]Elizabeth[/name] - Like the nicknames that come with this
[name]Eloise[/name] - Not a huge fan but don’t hate it
[name]Grace[/name] - Okay, but not my style
[name]Helena[/name] - My instinct is to pronounce it Hel-en-ah, but I do like this name
[name]Katherine[/name] - Prefer [name]Catherine[/name] for whatever reason
[name]Laura[/name] - [name]Love[/name] [name]Laura[/name], [name]Lorelai[/name], [name]Laurelle[/name] and [name]Lauren[/name]
[name]Lillian[/name] - Not my style, [name]Love[/name] just [name]Lily[/name]
[name]Louisa[/name] - Not my style
[name]Madeline[/name] - Like this, but wouldn’t use myself
[name]Matilda[/name] - Still associate this with the Book/Movie character, Like it
[name]Meredith[/name] - [name]Love[/name] [name]Meredith[/name]! My cousins babies name
[name]Olivia[/name] - [name]Love[/name] [name]Olivia[/name] nn [name]Liv[/name]

[name]Amelia[/name] [name]Grace[/name]
[name]Laura[/name] [name]Katherine[/name]
[name]Meredith[/name] [name]Claire[/name]
[name]Ariana[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name]
[name]Madeline[/name] [name]Olivia[/name]
[name]Caroline[/name] [name]Audrey[/name]

My top ten would be:

[name]Amelia[/name] - This is one of my all time faves. It’s absolutely gorgeous, perfect almost, if it wasn’t so popular (UK)
[name]Ariana[/name] - I used to love this. Now I think it’s spunky and kinda cute but it isn’t a favourite.
[name]Audrey[/name] - Not a fan. I’ve never liked it.
[name]Caroline[/name] - So classic and lovely! I rarely meet little Carolines, which makes me like it even more. I’m starting to prefer [name]Coraline[/name], though.
[name]Celia[/name] - Very delicate but sturdy sounding. Very underused!
[name]Charlotte[/name] - SO popular in the UK. It’s a bit dull in my opinion.
[name]Claire[/name] - Again, dull. I absolutely love [name]Clara[/name] though.
[name]Eleanor[/name] - [name]Lovely[/name], but nothing special. This is another popular one in the UK (where it is only ever ella-nah, not el-uh-nor)
[name]Elizabeth[/name] - I actually seem to prefer it’s middle names, but [name]Elizabeth[/name] is beautiful as well.
[name]Eloise[/name] - I’ve had several dodgy experiences with [name]Eloise[/name], and I don’t find it particularly attractive sounding, honestly.
[name]Grace[/name] - I don’t really like [name]Grace[/name] that much. It’s a perfectly nice name, I’m just not keen.
[name]Helena[/name] - I automatically pronounce this like ‘[name]Helen[/name]-uh’ but it seems the most common on NB is ‘Hell-AY-nah’. I like it.
[name]Katherine[/name] - Like [name]Elizabeth[/name], I prefer it’s nicknames. It is beautiful, although a bit dull.
[name]Laura[/name] - Dislike. Overused.
[name]Lillian[/name] - I like [name]Lillian[/name]. It’s not my favourite lily- name, but it’s sweet.
[name]Louisa[/name] - I really love [name]Louisa[/name]! So gorgeous.
[name]Madeline[/name] - Really pretty, but I prefer the [name]Madeleine[/name] spelling.
[name]Matilda[/name] - [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Matilda[/name]! Although it is common in the UK.
[name]Meredith[/name] - So lovely and sweet! I’d love to meet a baby [name]Meredith[/name].
[name]Olivia[/name] - I’m probably a little biased being an [name]Olivia[/name] myself, but I think it’s beautiful.

[name]Reading[/name] through this I seem very negative which wasn’t intentional! On the scale of things, you have a wonderful, classic list. I suppose I was just being a little harsh. Anyway, my favourite 10 are:

[name]Amelia[/name], [name]Ariana[/name], [name]Celia[/name], [name]Eleanor[/name], [name]Lillian[/name], [name]Louisa[/name], [name]Madeline[/name], [name]Matilda[/name], [name]Meredith[/name] and [name]Olivia[/name].

For your list it helps me to look at popularity, so I’ve included the 2010 rankings…
[name]Amelia[/name] - I don’t like the way this name sounds, just a personal opinion, #41 (do you like [name]Ameline[/name]?)
[name]Ariana[/name] - Only as ar-ee-ah-nah, not air-ee-ah-nah or ar-ee-ann-uh, #83
[name]Audrey[/name] - it’s nice, #52 (I suggest [name]Audriana[/name], #953, which seems like a combo of [name]Ariana[/name] and [name]Audrey[/name])
[name]Caroline[/name] - nice, classic, #88
[name]Celia[/name] - don’t like, #743
[name]Charlotte[/name] - don’t like, #45
[name]Claire[/name] - only as a middle name, #53 (do you like [name]Clara[/name]? #167)
[name]Eleanor[/name] - nice, #165 (do you like [name]Eleanora[/name]?)
[name]Elizabeth[/name] - hate this one, #12 (do you like [name]Elisabetta[/name]?)
[name]Eloise[/name] - love, #530 (I suggest [name]Eloisa[/name], similar to both [name]Eloise[/name] and [name]Louisa[/name])
[name]Grace[/name] - only as a middle name, but even then it seems like a filler, #18
[name]Helena[/name] ( heh lee na) - I don’t see why the second E would be prn different than the first E? Hel-ay-nuh or hel-en-uh would be the way to go, #534
[name]Katherine[/name] - nice, but I like international variants better, #70 (do you like [name]Katarina[/name], [name]Catalina[/name]?)
[name]Laura[/name] - nice, #275
[name]Lillian[/name] - I only like [name]Lilia[/name], [name]Lilliana[/name], etc, that end in A, #21
[name]Louisa[/name] - very pretty, I like the nn [name]Louie[/name]
[name]Madeline[/name] - nice, #77
[name]Matilda[/name] - nice, #800
[name]Meredith[/name] - very nice, #603
[name]Olivia[/name] - nice, but way too popular, #4

My favorites are [name]Caroline[/name], [name]Eloise[/name], [name]Louisa[/name], [name]Helena[/name], [name]Meredith[/name], [name]Matilda[/name], [name]Madeline[/name], and [name]Laura[/name].

I love these the most…

My top 10 are:

[name]Audrey[/name] [name]Grace[/name]
[name]Celia[/name] [name]Eloise[/name]
[name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Grace[/name]
[name]Helena[/name] [name]Claire[/name]

[name]Madeline[/name] [name]Eloise[/name]
[name]Matilda[/name] [name]Grace[/name]
[name]Olivia[/name] [name]Claire[/name]

[name]Amelia[/name] - I like it. Probably won’t use it myself as I know an [name]Amalia[/name], but it’s nice.
[name]Ariana[/name] - It’s ok.
[name]Audrey[/name] - [name]Love[/name]! This is one of my favorite names. If I use it, the front runner for the mn is [name]Nicole[/name] (honoring someone).
[name]Caroline[/name] - [name]Love[/name] it.
[name]Celia[/name] - It’s ok.
[name]Charlotte[/name] - Great name.
[name]Claire[/name] - [name]Love[/name]! Another favorite of mine.
[name]Eleanor[/name] - Awesome name. Someone I know has a daughter with this name and calls her [name]Nora[/name].
[name]Elizabeth[/name] - A nice name but a little boring [name]IMO[/name].
[name]Eloise[/name] - [name]Kinda[/name] like it.
[name]Grace[/name] - Nice name but I feel like I hear it ALL the time, either as a fn or more often as a mn.
[name]Helena[/name] ( heh lee na) - I don’t think people will pronounce it that way. I say hell-in-ah (or heh-lay-nah if it’s Spanish). I don’t really like it.
[name]Katherine[/name] - Nice, but a little boring like [name]Elizabeth[/name].
[name]Laura[/name] - Nice but I prefer the variations of [name]Lauren[/name] or [name]Laurel[/name] more.
[name]Lillian[/name] - [name]Don[/name]'t like it.
[name]Louisa[/name] - It’s ok.
[name]Madeline[/name] - Like it.
[name]Matilda[/name] - [name]Kinda[/name] like it.
[name]Meredith[/name] - Nice name.
[name]Olivia[/name] - Nice but too popular for me.
