Trouble with Loubet?

[name]Louisa[/name] [name]Beth[/name] is our current front runner. What do you all think? Is it too “[name]Little[/name] Women,” and does that even matter? I love the sweet vintage charm of it. And I feel it flows better than [name]Louisa[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name]. I know a smoosh would be inevitable if people say her full name quickly, ie Loubet, Ouisabeth, etc., but how often do we all use full names in daily life anyway?

So I guess I’m asking, does [name]Louisa[/name] [name]Beth[/name] a) sound better to your ears than [name]Louisa[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name], and is it b) an fine choice, or would we be setting ourselves up for endless smooshing frustrations - or mistakes for assuming that [name]Louisa[/name] [name]Beth[/name] is one first name a la [name]Mary[/name] [name]Beth[/name]? I actually don’t mind the smooshes much; they turn out to be kind of cute nicknames. But in general we would be using [name]Louisa[/name] in full. Initials would be LBT. We also pronounce it with a soft S and not Z, which I know may necessitate many corrections, at least in the beginning. I believe most people default to the Z pronunciation when spelled this way and S when spelled [name]Luisa[/name].

Thanks!

I have a slight preference for [name]Louisa[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] over [name]Louisa[/name] [name]Beth[/name], but I think both sound nice. People aren’t likely to smoosh if you introduce her as [name]Louisa[/name] rather than [name]Louisa[/name] [name]Beth[/name]. It’s rare that anyone is introduced with both names outside of baby announcements unless they choose to go by both.

Ooooh, I love [name]Louisa[/name] [name]Beth[/name]! [name]Louisa[/name] is one of my new favs and [name]Beth[/name] makes it a bit softer. [name]Louisa[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] is gorgeous as well, but [name]Louisa[/name] [name]Beth[/name] is so special.

I love it! I fell in love with [name]Louisa[/name] and have always had a weakness for the name [name]Beth[/name] so I lean towards that rather than [name]Elizabeth[/name].

I love [name]Louisa[/name] [name]Beth[/name]! So pretty!

[name]Louisa[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] is too much isa/iza. I’d go with [name]Louisa[/name] [name]Beth[/name] between the two.

I hear the isa/iza tto and prefer [name]Beth[/name] to [name]Elizabeth[/name] in the combo.

I prefer [name]Louisa[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name], but I see I’m in the minority.

I really like [name]Louisa[/name], and [name]Beth[/name] does sound nice with it! I agree it sounds better than [name]Louisa[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name]. I think it’s a fine choice, as long as she’s only called [name]Louisa[/name] in school, I don’t see a problem with the two running together  I also pronounce it with a soft S. GL!

Thank you all! I’m so pleased [name]Louisa[/name] [name]Beth[/name] has gotten such a warm reception
