Me and my husband, thanks to you all berries, we have decided to name our 3rd son, [name_u]Finn[/name_u] [name_m]William[/name_m]. We absolutely love and adore the name. [name_m]Even[/name_m] his big brother [name_m]Bridger[/name_m] likes the name.
So, heres the problem, my hubbys boss, just had a baby. Heres the great part, his name is [name_u]Finn[/name_u]. Me and my husband think we should change our babys name.
What do you think?

I like [name_u]Shane[/name_u] and [name_u]Owen[/name_u] a lot. They both have a similar feel Celtic to [name_u]Finn[/name_u].

I like them all except [name_u]Drew[/name_u] [name_m]William[/name_m]. The W’s are a little too much.

It depends on the company and relationship you have with the boss. Growing up I heard stories about my parent’s bosses, and I have met some of them a few times but none of them are important enough that my parents would have rethought the name choices. If he works in some family business where everyone knows each other and hangs out a lot outside of work I would change the name. Is this a forever job? My parents have both changed careers lately and they haven’t either of them had the same boss long enough for it to really be a problem. I think forever jobs seem to be disappearing.
What I am building up to is I don’t think I would let someone I didn’t know really well change my name list. I would change for a few close friends and some of my relatives particularly my sister, but I think it’s fine if you use the same name. My whole life my parents had friends who had the same names as either their kids or their nieces and nephews and nobody really cared about that. Honestly friends change, bosses change unless you’re so close you see them at least once a week (and by see them I mean you see the boss and his family outside of work and call each other to talk about your lives.) I wouldn’t worry about it. I would let it be a coincidence. Good [name_m]Luck[/name_m]!

[name_m]Bridger[/name_m] and [name_u]Avery[/name_u] are adorable together. :slight_smile: I really like [name_u]Rory[/name_u], [name_u]Tristan[/name_u], [name_m]Atticus[/name_m], and [name_u]Owen[/name_u] with them. You might want to steer clear of [name_m]Atticus[/name_m], because of the repeated initial with [name_u]Avery[/name_u]? I really like [name_m]Bridger[/name_m], [name_u]Avery[/name_u], and [name_u]Tristan[/name_u] or [name_m]Bridger[/name_m], [name_u]Avery[/name_u], and [name_u]Rory[/name_u] especially. I prefer [name_u]Rory[/name_u] to [name_u]Tristan[/name_u], but I think I prefer [name_u]Tristan[/name_u] with [name_m]Bridger[/name_m] and [name_u]Avery[/name_u]. Would you consider [name_u]Tristan[/name_u] [name_m]Samuel[/name_m], or [name_u]Rory[/name_u] [name_m]William[/name_m], or [name_u]Owen[/name_u] [name_m]Samuel[/name_m]? I like them slightly better than [name_u]Tristan[/name_u] [name_m]Paul[/name_m] and [name_u]Rory[/name_u] [name_m]David[/name_m]. I really like [name_m]Atticus[/name_m] [name_m]David[/name_m] as it is, though. :slight_smile:

If you love [name_u]Finn[/name_u], definitely use it. [name_m]Finnigan[/name_m], [name_m]Finian[/name_m], [name_u]Finlay[/name_u] and [name_u]Finley[/name_u] are also nice. Other suggestions: [name_f]Lark[/name_f], Faylan, [name_m]Atlas[/name_m], [name_u]Finch[/name_u], [name_u]Flynn[/name_u], [name_u]Quinn[/name_u], [name_m]Quill[/name_m], [name_m]Leif[/name_m], [name_m]Huck[/name_m], and [name_m]Tripp[/name_m].

But again, if you love the name…who cares?

I think that you shouldn’t let an acquaintance (boss, whatever) alter your choice for your son. A sibling, yes, a best friend, maybe, but if [name_u]Finn[/name_u] [name_m]William[/name_m] is The [name_f]One[/name_f], which is sounds like it is, I would definitely not let someone else’s similar pick bother you.
The other names aren’t as special to me, though I love [name_u]Dean[/name_u] [name_m]Samuel[/name_m].

[name_m]Atticus[/name_m] [name_u]Finn[/name_u] is divine! I would seriously consider this. [name_u]Avery[/name_u], [name_m]Bridger[/name_m] and [name_m]Atticus[/name_m] go so well together.

What if you did something similar to [name_u]Finn[/name_u], such as [name_u]Flynn[/name_u]?

[name_u]Finn[/name_u] [name_m]William[/name_m] is very handsome!

[name_u]Rory[/name_u] and [name_u]Owen[/name_u] are adorable with your other boys’ names! But I also think that you could still use [name_u]Finn[/name_u] if that is what you really have your hearts set on.
