Very true. It will surprise you then that [name_f]Abigail[/name_f] didn’t even enter the Top 1000 until 1901! [name_f]Lydia[/name_f], however, is not as common, but it has remained steady in use over time. (Though it must be regional because I personally know/have known quite a few Lydias of all different ages.)
[name_f]Grace[/name_f], [name_f]Hannah[/name_f], and [name_f]Laura[/name_f] barely missed it, and I still say they are timeless, personally. They surprised me, too. [name_f]Deborah[/name_f] is quite out of favor now, though.
Thank you for doing this! This is amazing. [name_f]My[/name_f] favorites are definitely [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] and [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]. I’ve always loved those names. However, I would so love to meet a [name_f]Lydia[/name_f]! This is fascinating- thanks again!
How fun! Thanks for sharing your findings. [name_f]Julia[/name_f] was the first name that came to mind for me when I read the title of the post and it did make your list!
I think your list is synonymous with graceful aging like fine wine that is embodied by their wide spread use. Out of all the names on that list
I like [name_f]Anna[/name_f], [name_f]Caroline[/name_f], [name_f]Catherine[/name_f], [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], [name_f]Julia[/name_f], [name_f]Emily[/name_f], [name_f]Margaret[/name_f], [name_u]Maria[/name_u], and [name_f]Mary[/name_f]. Many greetings
to you!
What a lovely list. Thank you. [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is just the ultimate name in my book. [name_f]My[/name_f] church community has a six month old [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] who comes to 7 o’clock service every [name_f]Sunday[/name_f]. A very fashionably dressed young lady too. [name_f]Anna[/name_f], [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] and [name_f]Rachel[/name_f] are my next favorite. I thought [name_f]Rose[/name_f] might have been there. I like [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], [name_f]Mary[/name_f] and [name_f]Rose[/name_f] in some combination.
I love your name selections. Especially [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] as it appeals to my love of timeless
first names. It is a name that goes with any
ethnicity, race, hair color or features. The proverbial “black dress” of the female names category.
