Truman or Bennett?

We are between two names now for our little boy due in [name_f]May[/name_f], [name_m]Truman[/name_m] or [name_u]Bennett[/name_u]. [name_m]Truman[/name_m] is a family name and [name_u]Bennett[/name_u] has a family connection. We have a son [name_u]Hudson[/name_u] and a daughter [name_u]Anne[/name_u] McCall who mostly goes by McCall. Which do you think goes better with siblings and what is the “vibe” that you get from each name? Thanks in advance!

Both are so handsome but I love [name_m]Truman[/name_m] for you. I feel that [name_u]Hudson[/name_u], McCall and [name_m]Truman[/name_m] are the ultimate surnamey names and flow perfectly. If [name_u]Anne[/name_u] went exclusively by her first name though I would feel more pull towards [name_u]Bennett[/name_u] ( probably the subtle pride and prejudice connection)

But I think [name_u]Tru[/name_u] would be a really cute nickname , or [name_m]Manny[/name_m] ! I am kind of swooning

In this case, I actually think both names fit and complete the sibset super well. If it were me, I would probably go with [name_u]Bennett[/name_u] over [name_m]Truman[/name_m] because it’s a bit warmer.

However, if you care about popularity, [name_u]Bennett[/name_u] is muuuuuuch more popular and will likely only increase in the coming years. If that’s a factor for you, go for [name_m]Truman[/name_m]. It’s a sturdy, timeless name!

Hopefully this helps!

I love the idea of [name_m]Truman[/name_m] for y’all, and it’s a bit more refreshing and distinctive to me! I think both names go well with the siblings’ though!

i think both names fit well, but @/cms1512 brings up a really good point about popularity! in terms of vibes, [name_u]Bennett[/name_u] feels outdoorsy and modern, while [name_m]Truman[/name_m] feels smart and formal. i think [name_u]Bennett[/name_u] goes slightly better with your other kids’ names, but personally i’d choose [name_m]Truman[/name_m] if you’re worried about popularity!

I prefer [name_m]Truman[/name_m] with your children’s names!

I get the same “vibe” from both of them—preppy, outdoorsy, gentle—but I think [name_m]Truman[/name_m] feels more distinctive.

And [name_u]Anne[/name_u] McCall “McCall” is hands down the coolest name I’ve ever seen

I think [name_u]Bennett[/name_u] goes better with the sibling names. [name_m]Truman[/name_m] has a circus vibe and [name_u]Bennett[/name_u] has a library vibe.
