[name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] and [name_f]Edith[/name_f] are old ladies to me and give off strong elderly vibes. I really love [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f], but prefer variations like [name_f]Lenore[/name_f], [name_f]Lenora[/name_f], and [name_f]Elena[/name_f].
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] is my all time favourite girls name, so that was an easy choice - but they’re all great names, and in fact all names I have considered! Right now [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u]'s been taken off my short-shortlist in favour of [name_f]Eve[/name_f], but [name_f]Edith[/name_f] is still there ([name_f]Edith[/name_f] is also a family name for me so that also influences my vote).
Oh and other E names?
[name_u]Eden[/name_u]
[name_f]Elaine[/name_f]
[name_f]Elena[/name_f]
[name_f]Ellen[/name_f]
[name_u]Ellison[/name_u]
[name_f]Elowen[/name_f]
[name_f]Elva[/name_f]
[name_f]Elvira[/name_f]
[name_f]Emelia[/name_f]
[name_f]Emma[/name_f]
[name_f]Emmeline[/name_f]
[name_f]Erica[/name_f]
[name_f]Erin[/name_f]
[name_f]Esme[/name_f]
[name_f]Estelle[/name_f]
[name_m]Etienne[/name_m]
[name_f]Eva[/name_f]/[name_f]Eve[/name_f]/[name_f]Evie[/name_f]
I love [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] and [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u]! My favorite E name is [name_f]Eliza[/name_f]. It’s really a perfect name.
I voted for [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] and think it works really well with [name_f]Abigail[/name_f], [name_m]Nathan[/name_m], and [name_m]Joseph[/name_m]. But [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] would be my top preference for an E-named sister here.
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] and [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] are both on our longer list. They both have great nickname options to make them more wearable for younger children. Eg. [name_f]Nora[/name_f] and [name_f]Evie[/name_f].
Other E names - [name_f]Eliza[/name_f], [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f], [name_f]Eugenie[/name_f], [name_f]Emelia[/name_f]
Overall, there are some beautiful E names
Thank you all for the great feedback!
I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f], really like [name_f]Edith[/name_f], and can appreciate [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] (I prefer [name_f]Eva[/name_f], [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f], and simple [name_f]Eve[/name_f], but I know an adorable little baby [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u], and I love the idea of [name_f]Abigail[/name_f] and [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] together! I’m torn–[name_f]Edith[/name_f] feels a little too old-lady with [name_m]Nathan[/name_m] and [name_m]Joseph[/name_m] (although I don’t know how, since [name_f]Abigail[/name_f], [name_m]Nathan[/name_m], and [name_m]Joseph[/name_m] all feel like staunch Biblical classics to me), and I dislike the similar endings in [name_m]Nathan[/name_m] and [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u], even though I love [name_f]Abigail[/name_f], [name_m]Joseph[/name_m], and [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] together. I really like [name_f]Abigail[/name_f], [name_m]Joseph[/name_m], and [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] together, too, and I think [name_m]Nathan[/name_m] fits right in, but I just love the idea of [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] with your other ones, so even though it isn’t as perfect (in that they all have distinctive sounds, initials, and endings) as [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] would have been, I just love the idea of [name_f]Abigail[/name_f], [name_m]Nathan[/name_m], [name_m]Joseph[/name_m], and [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u]. I was poised to vote for [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f], but [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] just got to me in the end.
I love a lot of “E” names, but I’m not sure what to suggest here. I would love to see [name_f]Ella[/name_f], [name_u]Eloise[/name_u], [name_f]Eve[/name_f], [name_f]Eliza[/name_f], [name_f]Eliora[/name_f] (although I feel like [name_f]Eliora[/name_f] really doesn’t fit, but the whole Hebrew vibe would go fairly well with Biblical names like [name_f]Abigail[/name_f], [name_m]Nathan[/name_m], and [name_m]Joseph[/name_m]. It’s just a lot less classic than your oldest three.), [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f] (I think [name_f]Abigail[/name_f] and [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f] is adorable! And [name_m]Joseph[/name_m] and [name_m]Nathan[/name_m] fit in well), [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f]/[name_f]Elise[/name_f], [name_u]Eden[/name_u], and [name_f]Elena[/name_f].
Good luck!
[name_f]Abigail[/name_f], [name_m]Nathan[/name_m] and [name_m]Joseph[/name_m] are all Bible names. So I’d choose [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u]. Plus if you call [name_f]Abigail[/name_f] [name_u]Abby[/name_u]/[name_u]Abbie[/name_u], then [name_u]Abby[/name_u] and [name_f]Evie[/name_f] sound really cute.
Aside from that, the suggestions of [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] are great! I second [name_f]Eliza[/name_f]!
I think [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] is too British-Aristocrat to fit into your sibset, which sounds All-American to me.
I love all three of your choices, but my favourite is [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]. It’s elegant, strong, classic and regal. Like your other kids’ names, they’re names with a lot of history, something that wouldn’t have sounded out of place a hundred years ago nor today, with the rise of vintage names. Either way, you can’t go wrong! Here are some other suggestions/seconding:
[name_f]Edie[/name_f]
[name_f]Eva[/name_f]
[name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]
[name_f]Elisabetta[/name_f]
[name_f]Elise[/name_f]
[name_u]Eloise[/name_u]
[name_f]Ella[/name_f]
[name_f]Elsa[/name_f]
[name_f]Elspeth[/name_f]
[name_f]Evelina[/name_f]/[name_f]Eveline[/name_f]
[name_f]Endellion[/name_f]
[name_f]Etta[/name_f]
[name_f]Estella[/name_f]/[name_f]Estella[/name_f]
[name_f]Eugenia[/name_f]
[name_f]Eulalie[/name_f]
[name_f]Edith[/name_f] is my favourite out of your list! I like both it and the nn [name_f]Edie[/name_f]. [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] comes next, and [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] after that. I’m not a fan of [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u], but I kinda like [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]'s nn’s [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] and [name_f]Lena[/name_f]. My very favourite girl E names are [name_f]Eva[/name_f] “[name_f]Evie[/name_f]”, [name_f]Elsie[/name_f] and [name_f]Ella[/name_f].
I voted for [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] but my personal favorite E names are: [name_f]Elle[/name_f], [name_f]Emilia[/name_f], [name_u]Emery[/name_u], and [name_f]Eliza[/name_f]
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] is gorgeous!
I adore [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] and [name_f]Edie[/name_f], like [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] and could grow to like [name_f]Edith[/name_f]. I think they all go well with your other children’s names.
