Personally, I don’t looove either [name_f]Edith[/name_f] or [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]. [name_f]Edith[/name_f] does still seem too old-ladyish for me, and [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]'s just not my style.
I love both [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] and [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f], though! I think they go really well together. [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] could be cute for a child and elegant for an adult, I think.
I’d vote for [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f].
Absolutely no contest, the winner is [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f]! Such a beautiful flowery name. [name_f]Edith[/name_f] is just plain ugly, in my opinion. I can’t see why anyone likes it.
[name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] is beautiful.
Thanks to everyone who voted and especially for the comments. I’m surprised there was so much more support for [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] over [name_f]Edith[/name_f] considering how often I seem to have been coming across [name_f]Edith[/name_f] on the forum lately. But it is good to know. It is my husbands favourite name anyway so I guess I should just get on board and stop trying to find other ones.
Thanks again.
According to “Beyond [name_f]Ava[/name_f] & [name_u]Aiden[/name_u],” all four names are “vintage chic.”
[name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] is the more conservative of the two pairings.
I personally like both.
I think [name_f]Edith[/name_f] is much prettier than [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f]. [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] sounds frumpy to me, whereas [name_f]Edith[/name_f] has the sweet nickname of [name_f]Edie[/name_f] and makes me think of [name_f]Violet[/name_f] or [name_f]Margaret[/name_f].
