Ok I’m having a really tough time this fourth time around. I have three girls [name]Simone[/name] [name]Jeanette[/name], [name]Lyla[/name] [name]Jolie[/name], and [name]Brooklyn[/name] [name]Jade[/name]. After picking 3 names I love I’m running out of ideas! As far as the middle name I’m trying to stick with my j theme…I also welcome any other suggestions of names you may have. I’m going for strong and unique girls names. So far I’ve come up with:
*[name]Eliza[/name] [name]Jane[/name]
*[name]Matilda[/name] [name]Joy[/name]? (haven’t decided on middle name yet)
which do you guys prefer or what do you think? and I’m not stuck on the middle names btw, I can change those if you can suggest anything that might sound better
My favourite overall is [name]Eliza[/name] [name]Jane[/name], though I would also love [name]Matilda[/name] [name]Jane[/name] and [name]Scarlett[/name] [name]Jane[/name].
[name]Eliza[/name] [name]Jane[/name] is my favorite, followed by [name]Matilda[/name] [name]Joy[/name]. [name]Matilda[/name] [name]Jane[/name] would be lovely (if you are looking for a virtue mn, I also like [name]Matilda[/name] [name]Hope[/name], [name]Matilda[/name] [name]Faith[/name], [name]Matilda[/name] [name]Blythe[/name] and [name]Matilda[/name] [name]Verity[/name]).
*[name]Eliza[/name] [name]Jane[/name] - [name]Both[/name] names are lovely and go beautifully together.
*[name]Matilda[/name] [name]Joy[/name]? (haven’t decided on middle name yet) - I really like the name [name]Matilda[/name] and even more the nn [name]Tilly[/name]! [name]Joy[/name] is pretty and goes nicely with [name]Matilda[/name] as well
*[name]Scarlett[/name] [name]Jael[/name] (pronounced [name]Jay[/name]-elle) - [name]Scarlett[/name] is a beautiful name! I have never heard of the name [name]Jael[/name], its lovely although if it’s pronounced [name]Jay[/name]-elle it sounds a lot like jail (prison).
I think either [name]Eliza[/name] [name]Jane[/name] or [name]Matilda[/name] [name]Joy[/name]
I like [name]Scarlett[/name] [name]Jael[/name] best. Its Pretty, fresh and different.
And [name]Scarlett[/name] sounds lovely with [name]Simone[/name], [name]Lyla[/name] and [name]Brooklyn[/name].
[name]Eliza[/name] [name]Jane[/name] is probably my favorite, but it seems to be from a totally different style set than your other girls. They all have names that have slightly exotic vibes. [name]Eliza[/name] [name]Jane[/name] seems much more down to earth or workaday to me.
I like [name]Scarlett[/name] [name]Jael[/name], and it would probably be my pick for you from your list, but I don’t care for your pronunciation of [name]Jael[/name].
[name]Matilda[/name] seems to be a NB favorite, but I just can’t get on board.
Strong and unique girls’ names with J middles to go with [name]Simone[/name] [name]Jeanette[/name], [name]Lyla[/name] [name]Jolie[/name], and [name]Brooklyn[/name] [name]Jade[/name]… I really like [name]Eliza[/name] [name]Jane[/name] or [name]Eliza[/name] [name]Joy[/name]. Other options:
[name]Adelaide[/name] [name]Jonquil[/name]
[name]Coraline[/name] [name]Juniper[/name]
[name]Bronwen[/name] [name]Jerusha[/name]
[name]Cordelia[/name] [name]Juniper[/name]
[name]Florence[/name] [name]Jerusha[/name]
I hope that helps a bit
[name]Eliza[/name] is one of my favorite names! Not crazy about [name]Jane[/name] as the middle name due to the song. [name]Scarlett[/name] would be my second choice.
I completely agree with everything you guys are saying. [name]Jael[/name] does sound a little like jail lol, and when I say the girls names together [name]Scarlett[/name] sounds the best. but I love the name [name]Eliza[/name] so much I thought what the heck I’ll just make it work [name]Jessamy[/name]!! That’s goes very well with [name]Scarlett[/name]. Thank you. I know I’ve limited myself with the J names but I can’t seem to break the little tradition I’ve started. Thank you again for your feedback it really helps in making the big decision!! If I broke my theme I would go with verity. That is so pretty, something I’ve never heard of before.
[name]Matilda[/name] [name]Joy[/name] gets my vote! it’s more sweet and Unusual than [name]Eliza[/name] [name]Jane[/name], But [name]Eliza[/name] [name]Jane[/name] is definitely a cute and classy choice!
Also, [name]Jael[/name] could be written [name]Yael[/name], as that is the Israeli pronunciation. I love the name [name]Yael[/name], it is gorgeous and never gets old for me. However, It is very hard if you are in [name]America[/name] becasue of the isolated syllables, which would probably be slurred by Americans (ie [name]Naomi[/name] is really Nah-Oh-mee, not Nay-oh-mee).
1 [name]Matilda[/name] [name]Joy[/name] (although [name]Joy[/name] is too similar to [name]Jolie[/name])
2 [name]Eliza[/name] [name]Jane[/name] (although [name]Jane[/name] is too similar to [name]Jade[/name])
3 [name]Scarlett[/name] [name]Jael[/name] (although [name]Jael[/name] is too similar to [name]Jade[/name] as well)
There was a popular country song by [name]Vince[/name] [name]Gill[/name] several years ago called “[name]Lil[/name]’ [name]Liza[/name] [name]Jane[/name].” (It kinda sounds like he says “[name]Eliza[/name] [name]Jane[/name]” as he’s singing actually.) For me, that would rule out that song because she would get teased with that song her whole life. But I live in Nashville. So maybe that doesn’t apply to everyone.
I like [name]Jewel[/name] as a middle name! I love [name]Scarlett[/name] and [name]Eliza[/name], but then you would have two S names, with [name]Simone[/name] and [name]Scarlett[/name], or you would have [name]Lyla[/name] and [name]Eliza[/name], which sound an awful lot alike, imo. Your girl names seem strong yet lovely, but [name]Matilda[/name], even with the meaning, sounds a bit too whimsical or fanciful, not so much strong and boldly beautiful, to me…Hmmm, which leaves??? [name]Willow[/name] might be nice, but not with [name]Jewel[/name]. [name]How[/name] about…[name]Simone[/name], [name]Lyla[/name], [name]Brooklyn[/name], and [name]Esme[/name]? [name]Fable[/name]? [name]Windsor[/name]? [name]Keeva[/name]? [name]Marlowe[/name]?
You guys have really hit the nail on the head hitting all of my concerns…basically, eliza as beautiful as it is sounds a lot like lyla, just like my other favorite name [name]Lyra[/name] which I had to veto for that very reason. [name]Scarlett[/name] I love but worry that it’s getting too popular and matilda with the nickname tilly is so precious to me because it sounds spunky and fun but then I wonder how she would grow in to it… would it be a good adult name??? And as far as the middle names go I do think that [name]Jewel[/name] sounds the best with my other j middle names I actually REALLY REALLY love [name]Esme[/name], plus my grandma is from [name]France[/name] and has been teaching me French so I’m in love with the French sounding names. [name]Esme[/name] [name]Jewel[/name] or esme [name]Juliet[/name] maybe esme [name]Jacqueline[/name]
As you can see much turmoil goes into this whole picking a name process!! Lol I do appreciate the feedback though
I, for one, [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Esme[/name] [name]Jewel[/name] - smooth, timeless, boldly beautiful, worldly…it fits wonderfully with your other girls…and there are the cute nn’s [name]Essie[/name] or [name]Emme[/name] or [name]May[/name]. I think it’s PERFECT! [name]Esme[/name] [name]Juliet[/name] is beautiful, as well! (My daughter is named [name]Juliet[/name], but we call her [name]Jewel[/name] often, so I am partial to both!)
