So my husband and I are talking about TTC in 2017 and a part of my prep is to work out a list of names we both like. I sat down and went through two of the baby name books I have and we worked out a good starting list. (we have another list for possible middle names, but any suggestions are welcome.)
[name_m]Jack[/name_m]
[name_u]Dean[/name_u]
[name_u]James[/name_u]
[name_m]Joel[/name_m]
[name_m]Luke[/name_m]
[name_u]Robin[/name_u]
[name_u]Elliott[/name_u]
[name_u]Jean[/name_u]
[name_m]Griffin[/name_m]/[name_m]Griffon[/name_m]
What do you think? suggestions and comments are welcome!
I’m glad to see [name_u]Robin[/name_u] on your list!
While all of the names are lovely, [name_u]Robin[/name_u] is definitely the least popular of your choices currently. [name_m]Joel[/name_m] and [name_u]Jean[/name_u] also have not been getting as much love in recent years.
I like your list! Lots of classics, with some wonderful, underused choices too.
My favourites are [name_u]Robin[/name_u], [name_u]Dean[/name_u], and [name_m]Joel[/name_m].
You might also like [name_u]Glen[/name_u], [name_m]Marcus[/name_m], [name_m]Eli[/name_m], [name_m]Samson[/name_m], [name_u]Emmett[/name_u], [name_m]Graham[/name_m], [name_m]Timothy[/name_m], [name_m]Colin[/name_m], [name_m]Ian[/name_m].
Best of luck to you!
I love [name_m]Marcus[/name_m] and [name_m]Lucas[/name_m], but I can’t use them or [name_m]Lewis[/name_m]. My cousin (that I’m really close to) married a guy named [name_m]Marcus[/name_m] [name_m]Lewis[/name_m], and I feel like [name_m]Lucas[/name_m] is too close. I also don’t really want to use names that immediately lend themselves to nick names, like [name_m]Timothy[/name_m] or [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m].
and we will likely use our hyphenated last name.
