We are pregnant with our 4th girl and having a tough time with her name. Naming our first three was very hard because of difference in style and because we have A LOT of women and girls in our family (names already taken)
We differ in style a lot, we are both southern so we do both like southern style but he leans more towards BNOG names or just not as soft sounding names and I like super frilly names, very feminine southern and girly.
Our 3 girls are
[name_f]Priscilla[/name_f]- Obviously my choice.
[name_f]Jolene[/name_f]- We actually picked this together and equally loved it.
[name_f]Loretta[/name_f]- My husband decided on [name_f]Loretta[/name_f] to honor my late sister, I happily agreed.
My dilemma now: I have a list of 5 names I [name_f]ADORE[/name_f] and think fit well with my other children’s names, he said he would be fine with any of them (he’s just being nice) but he has two names he likes and they are so different, I just don’t think they would match with the other girls style wise.
His names: [name_u]Colby[/name_u] (Boy to me), [name_u]Presley[/name_u] (someone please tell him we cant have a [name_f]Priscilla[/name_f] and a [name_u]Presley[/name_u]!!!, he thinks its COOL!)
He really wants her middle name to be [name_u]Carter[/name_u], to honor his dad, and though its a boy name to me I will honor his dad and use it as her middle name but to me a boy first name is for a boy…
[name_u]Colby[/name_u] is totally boy to me too but I can it work as a middle for a girl. [name_u]Presley[/name_u] would be perfect but I do think it’s too close to [name_f]Priscilla[/name_f]! (Sorry, dad!) I think [name_u]Carter[/name_u] would work perfectly as a middle name!
[name_f]Priscilla[/name_f], [name_f]Jolene[/name_f], [name_f]Loretta[/name_f] and [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] - I think this works perfectly!
[name_f]Priscilla[/name_f], [name_f]Jolene[/name_f], [name_f]Loretta[/name_f] and [name_u]Cheyenne[/name_u] - I don’t really like [name_u]Cheyenne[/name_u]…
[name_f]Pricilla[/name_f], [name_f]Jolene[/name_f], [name_f]Loretta[/name_f] and [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] - Same as [name_f]Felicity[/name_f]! I think it’s a perfect fit!
[name_f]Priscilla[/name_f], [name_f]Jolene[/name_f], [name_f]Loretta[/name_f] and [name_f]Nicolette[/name_f] - I don’t like it with [name_f]Loretta[/name_f]. It’s too much tt’s together.
[name_f]Priscilla[/name_f], [name_f]Jolene[/name_f], [name_f]Loretta[/name_f] and [name_f]Delilah[/name_f] - Perfect once again! I think this one fits the best! Similar style, different sound, same frilly modern but classy.
I agree with everything mcarolina said. If you add in the middle name, [name_f]Delilah[/name_f] [name_u]Carter[/name_u] is the winner for me. Good luck!
Ahhh this is so hard, the reason I don’t like [name_u]Presley[/name_u] is because of [name_f]Priscilla[/name_f] [name_u]Presley[/name_u] ([name_m]Elvis[/name_m]'s Wife) I love her but having both of the names is too much for me.
I think you are right about [name_f]Nicolette[/name_f] and [name_f]Loretta[/name_f] are too much tt’s and previous posters have mentioned that as well, it’s slowly falling off my list, though it is my husbands favorite from the list.
I adore [name_f]Delilah[/name_f] but other posters have mentioned that all of my daughters would have an A or an A sound at the end of their names except for [name_f]Jolene[/name_f] and suggesting she might not like being left out of that.
