The names we have on our list are (in order of favorites)
[name_f]Isabella[/name_f], [name_f]Madisen[/name_f], [name_u]Riley[/name_u], and [name_f]Emersyn[/name_f] (tie)—can not break this tie…lol
other names we really like are
[name_f]Alexandra[/name_f]
[name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u]
McKinnley
[name_u]Parker[/name_u]
[name_f]Makenna[/name_f]
Any help whatsoever? All names go well with our surname. Thanks
My favourite on your list is [name_f]Isabella[/name_f]- it’s sweet, classic, and wears well on a girl of any age. [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] gives me the same vibe. [name_f]Emersyn[/name_f] and McKinnley feel too masculine to work on a girl for me, though they would be lovely on a boy. I’d suggest spelling them [name_u]Emerson[/name_u] and [name_u]McKinley[/name_u] though, as those spellings would just set your child up for a lifetime of misspellings unnecessarily. [name_f]Madisen[/name_f] would have the same issue- [name_u]Madison[/name_u] would be better. [name_u]Parker[/name_u], [name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u], [name_u]Madison[/name_u] and [name_u]Riley[/name_u] feel modern, cool and laid-back to me.
I agree with everything @bonfireazalea said. [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] is my favorite, followed by [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f]. The others seem like a totally different style to me. I’m really not into the boys names on girls trend.
It’s great you’ve got a short list you like! My style is different from yours–I tend toward shorter, older vintage names for girls (for example, I’d probably go [name_f]Isobel[/name_f] rather than [name_f]Isabella[/name_f])–but I think you’ve found some nice ones from the current style. This girl will fit right in with her classmates. Of your top four, I like [name_u]Riley[/name_u] the best. [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] names are really popular, as was [name_u]Madison[/name_u] a few years ago, so I’d avoid those due to super popularity. My favorites on your list are [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] and [name_f]Makenna[/name_f]. I think my favorite name combos from your list would be:
[name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] is strong and beautiful. Plus, it comes equipped with a variety of nicknames to suit any sort of girl (I especially like [name_f]Lexa[/name_f]).
I like your list, with the exception of [name_u]Riley[/name_u]. (I really dislike [name_u]Riley[/name_u], and where I live, it seems like 3rd baby born, boy or girl, is given the name [name_u]Riley[/name_u], and it drives me nuts!)
Anyways, as I said, I like your list, the obscure spelling on some names is a bit much. Your poor kid will have a life time of correcting people on the spelling.
I go back in forth as to which name I like best on your list, the top four, in my opinion are:
[name_f]Alexandra[/name_f]
[name_f]Isabella[/name_f]
[name_u]Madison[/name_u]
[name_u]Emerson[/name_u]
Followed by the Mc/[name_m]Mac[/name_m] names
I don’t care for [name_u]Parker[/name_u], and as I said before, I don’t care for [name_u]Riley[/name_u].
Go with your gut, it won’t steer you wrong.
My absolute favorite from your list is [name_f]Isabella[/name_f]. It’s cute, classic, and I can imagine a grown woman with that name. Not to mention it has MANY nickname possibilities for her future friends and even family to call her by.
I really like [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f]. It seems a lot different from the others tbh?? [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] is nice too but obviously it’s popular and idk if that matters to you. The rest seem kind of “trendy” as they say lol
[name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] hands down. I don’t like masculine names misspelled to make them “unisex” or “feminine” or masculine names on girls so [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] or [name_f]Isabella[/name_f].
I’m also behind this. [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] and [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] are my favourites from that list, but [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] is very popular right now, so I’d go for [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f].
I also like [name_u]Madison[/name_u], but not spelled with the e. I think [name_u]Madison[/name_u] is clearly female in either spelling.
[name_f]Emersyn[/name_f] I’d spell as [name_u]Emerson[/name_u]. It’s very unisex both in my opinion and statistically, but could totally work on a girl.
I prefer [name_u]Riley[/name_u] for boys, but it could work for girls, too.
[name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u] is clearly female to me, but I just don’t like it.
McKinnley is weird, capitol letters in the middle of the name might be a problem, and isn’t that also the name of a brand?
I do like [name_u]Parker[/name_u] a lot, but it’s a male name for me.
[name_f]Makenna[/name_f] is okay, but looks made up.
I think it would be helpful if you could tell us what draws you to these names. The styles seem all over the map to me. In general, I’d avoid alternative spellings because they don’t actually add any creativity and are needlessly confusing. [name_f]IMO[/name_f], it’s better to choose a name that’s uncommon in and of itself instead. Since you like [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] and [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f], but seem to be searching for something a little more distinctive, how about:
[name_f]Annabel[/name_f]
[name_f]Cristabel[/name_f]
[name_f]Mirabelle[/name_f]
[name_f]Clarabelle[/name_f]
[name_f]Isadora[/name_f]
[name_f]Belle[/name_f] (rarely given by itself)
[name_f]Alexandria[/name_f]
[name_f]Alessandra[/name_f]
Lysandra
[name_f]Alana[/name_f]
[name_f]Elena[/name_f]
